Just bought a brand been 2018 GMC Sierra All Terrain and the transmission just started clunking! 2700 miles on it and I just threw her into 4wd for the first time. Headed up to the snow last weekend and right after I put her back into 2hi she started this clunks from 1st to 2nd fear. super bummed I didn’t know about this before I bought it. Dealership told me it’s what GM calls acceptable. Anyone have any any fixes for this issue?? Or know of any updates coming to fix it? thanks guys! First post. Love everything about this truck. Except that huge clunking when she starts up -Austin

So just bought my 2018 GMC Sierra All Terrain. She’s Dark Slate Mettalic and I’m so glad I picked this color. But I just started having a transmission problem at 2700 miles... i threw her into 4 wheel drive for the first time in the snow last weekend and now every time I start her up it clunks shifting from first to second. Took her into the dealership and they said it’s what GM calls acceptable, pretty pissed about it. I’ve read other forums on it I guess I’m the lucky 1 out of 100. Still love the truck just really wish this clunking wasn’t here. Anyone know if there is an update coming soon???

I have 97 sierra with the 4l60e transmission. It runs great but for some reason it won't move far. As soon as I start it up I can put it in any gear and it will go like its supposed to. But about 10-15 seconds later it will slip out and not move at all in any gear warm or cold. I can then shut it off and start it back up and repeat this. It will spin the tires but only for 10 seconds. The fluid is at the correct level and I checked the pump by checking the fluid while off then starting and checking the fluid while its running and the level goes down like it should. Please someone help me!
