  3. I have a 5.5” lift and can’t fit 35’s on stock rims without a good trim Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I’ll follow your advice and give it a month. Only problem is I drive the truck once a week. Anyway, if you get a chance can you give me a link to a more capable scan tool? I really appreciate all the help! Edit: screw it... I’ll just drive it to work the rest of the week. Let’s see. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. No worries man. I’ll get it done. I will return the cheap one and look into purchasing something else or just pony up and go to a repair shop that can just reset it for me. As I said in my first post, the speed sensor harness got burned through by the exhaust manifold. It has since been repaired. Thanks for your help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Yeah. I meant to add a garage or dealer. The traction control and abs light. The DIC shows service stabilitrak and traction control. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Received the scanner and it doesn’t reset anything. First off, it shows that there are no codes so the warning lights are still on. I read that the dealer is the only one who can reset light unless a check engine light is also on then the scan tool can do it. Wtf??? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Awesome. Thank you guys! Edit: Wait a minute. Can the auto cal I purchased from blackbear clear the code? I plugged in the auto cal, turned the ignition to “on”, scrolled down to “clear DTC”, pressed enter, and still have the warning message. Pressed “show DTC’s” and it says no codes to show. I don’t know if I am doing it right. I guess I’ll have to wait on the scan tool.
  9. I ordered this one already: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. I am getting service stabilitrak and traction control messages with abs light on the dash. I found that the exhaust manifold had burnt through the speed sensor harness. I cut and spliced the wire and it is still showing the lights on the dash. Do I need to clear with scan tool? I thought stabilitrak was one of the messages that clear on their own once repair is made... thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. Well, after 44 yrs of life I could care less of what others think. Lol. That wasn’t my intention to earn approval. I am merely reaching out to this site for the knowledge of people who are in the same situation or have more knowledge than I do on the subject. With that being said, the 6.2 with 10 spd. carries more payload than my current truck and has a higher trailering weight than my truck. Even with my current truck, the max trailer weight rating exceeded 20% capacity of the GVWR of the trailer, but I was also concerned about the payload rating. The problem was, I have a lift which apparently effects all the numbers quite negatively. My truck is almost 10 years old and it may be time for a new truck. The 3/4 ton is much more than the 1/2 ton so I too, think it’s a better option if it will completely work out especially since I won’t be towing it more than several times a year. I just want to make sure I won’t have regrets and I don’t think I will when I find the 6.2/10spd with the max tow package. At the end of it all, I thank you for your advice. 14. After much analyzing, I decided to reach out to the local Chevy dealer and between dealer discounts and incentives, there is a 12K reduction off of MSRP. You think throughout the year it will get lower than that? That is pretty steep. A 4wd 6.2 high country 10spd is at 53K after discounts with all the options I want. Wish I could find it with the max trailering package as well but I guess it’s a combo that doesn’t exist. Will this be sufficient enough to tow the RV? This one is going to stay stock. 15. All great suggestions. Thanks to all for the advice! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
