  1. 80 is pretty much legal here, I've never heard of anyone getting stopped doing 80. I used to only drive 70, because any faster my mileage would drop like a rock. But with the Coopers I can drive 75-80 and still pull down 18 mpg. Don't listen when people say 10 ply tires will hurt your mileage.
  2. Nope I was running something and there goes my pickup, haha. The Dodge got stuck in a ditch. Last time my boss CBed me and told me it got a chisel dragged across it (joke), now this, jeeze.
  3. Apparently mine was used to pull out a Cummins yesterday, wish I had pics. I had the shop do a coolant flush, change the thermostat, and change tranny filter to get ready for summer.
  4. I'm sure an e fan write up would be great Chris. I would definitely read one for the cooler too. May even do it depending on what my temps look like.
  5. What cooler did you get Chris?
  6. Got it out of the shed, I think we're done with severe weather for a while. 3 big trees down, part of a roof gone and other stuff blown all over. Looks like I'm having a bonfire this weekend.
  7. Sounds like you need a Callaway hat!
  8. I have a hard time being respectful to many parks and wildlife guys. Some are mean from the get go. That being said, know your rights and never consent to a search.
  9. Drove home for the end of the semester. My truck is having mental issues, apparently it thinks it's a car.
  10. I took a nice drive in the country. Gorgeous day.
  11. I drove it out to the lank and caught a bass. Awesome day!
  12. Going to get my bedrails Line-X'ed soon.

  13. Going to get my bedrails Line-X

  14. Oh I've priced them more than once. That mileage figure was with some 4000+ rpm ramps. Sounded good.
  15. I managed 18.4 mpg at 80mph driving on hilly interstate the other day. This is with 10 ply tires that I would guess weigh 2x more than the 4 ply Goodyears I had before. So, if you're getting new tires you may as well get 10 ply, as your mileage really won't change. 18.4 is the second best mileage I've had in this truck. The best I've had is 18.5 at 70 mph. I need to do something to this thing so it will get worse mileage and drink fuel like a truck.
  16. If I get em I'm going with the Thorley's from BBP, as they come with a Y-Pipe. I'll have to make up a piece to fit them up to my factory exhaust flange, but that will be easy. The Thorley's look great and have some really good reviews.
  17. If I get any they will be ceramic coated, you aren't going to find those for $300.
  18. I want to get headers to prevent a leak and so I'll have good bolts, and also so I won't have to worry about my cats plugging up. Plenty of reasons. Not to mention sound. Going to have to wait until mid July though probably, I still haven't made up my mind yet. My experience has been that mud/water get into aftermarket intakes more, at least on our Dodges.
  19. Nope, just drop your cover (no need to take it completely off, screw by console can stay) and it's pretty much right there. It's a pretty easy fix.
  20. I love Chevelles. Very cold here today. Worked on outfitting an 07 Cummins with balebed and hydraulic pump. I'm glad my pickup is so easy to work on under the hood, it's a bit of a chore just to get off the belt on these Dodges.
  21. I'm not really up on them, but I think most 2.5" levels are pretty affordable. Lots here have them without issues. If you put on a 3" body lift as well, you'd gain some more height. I'm not sure about price on that, but there's folks with em so they can chime in. Might find some info going through the suspension section or searching though.
  22. Just remember your CV's aren't the only thing at risk if you go over 2.5". Blackout07 can tell you all about it. EDIT: Front end parts wishing for death at 3.5". I know it's not a 4x4 but you get the idea.
  23. Any more than 2.5" leveling will trash your front end parts. I don't even want to go that high, because my angles are flat and I like them that way. I considered a diff drop, level, and airbags(rear, for towing) to raise the whole truck a little. But I decided I wouldn't really get anything from the height, other than making it hard to jump in the bed. Many people say when you get a lift, get a full 6" suspension lift, because you'll want it eventually anyways. If I wanted a lot of height, that's what I'd do. But there are more than a few trucks with a level and body lift with very happy owners.
  24. 3 inch suspension from anyone is a mistake. You have to pay to play.
