  1. If this is true what a slap in the face to the American tax payer after loaning GM all the millions for them to stay in business.
  2. Are the gains you are referring dyno or track proven?
  3. He was on his second fill up with E85. Drove it to almost empty filled up then drove again until that E85 tank was gone and filled again. E85 works in these 2014 trucks!
  4. We were not comparing our trucks. Only comparing 93 octane to E85. We did a fair comparison in that regards. We do have the same 3.42 gearing, same size tires with the same 6A tranny. All tests were done starting in paddle at 25 mph so no downshift occurred. Both paddled up at launch so normal shifting took place up to the limiter of 98 mph.
  5. I have a friend with a 2014 5.3 crew cab. I have a 2013 6.2 extended cab. We raced with both on 93 . I beat him easily by several lengths. He switched over to E85 and it was a very close race. I feel his is heavier than mine and with equal weight he would quite possible have taken me.
  6. 8th will be taller than our 6 speed at .65. 6 speed is .67. 1st 4.552 2nd 2.959 3rd 2.074 4th 1.691 5th 1.268 6th 1.000 7th 0.847 8th 0.650
  7. I'm with you on that! I bet in 8 gear it will barely pull itself over an overpass with that gearing.
  8. Based on what I see in the tune for my 2013 assuming yours is the same you will be slower on E85 without tuning.
  9. How about a complete pass from zero up? Or do you mean what configuration do we want to see? Time, rpm, speed, tp, timing advance, kr, MAF (Hz), Engine and tranny temps., current gear, manifold vacuum and of course afr.
  10. Can you export them to a spread sheet so everybody can view? I tried to upload one mine but it wouldn't let me. You might try???
  11. Only way I could get it right. I can't imagine what some are getting in their files without a way to check what you have actually done.
  12. I assume you zeroed out your Spark Correction Gas table? Hard to determine actual advance with a compare table. IAT could go a little more. I have mine zeroed to 113* but running slightly richer than you. Did you use a wide band and set your MAF?
  13. Need to use your HP Tuner to read your intune file so you know for sure with the Intune file. That's what I did with mine and found I had a tendency to not get into the truck what I wanted. Had to go back and make changes based on what I read in the HPT read file.
  14. Would like to compare it to my stock high octane table. Would need to see your AFR spark correction table too unless you have zeroed this.
  15. From looking at the 6.2 file for my 2013 6.2 I would guess you would lose power with E85. WOT timing advance is actually reduced in the 6.2 file vs. an increase in the 5.3.
  16. The area of the exhaust port on our heads is larger then the ID area of 1 5/8" tubing. I'm surprised 1 5/8" doesn't produce less power than the factory manifolds. Would like to see an equal tube comparison of shorty vs. long tubes.
  17. Haven't read though all 46 pages of this link but I would like to know if anybody makes 1 3/4" or 1 7/8" shorty set of headers for the 6.2. I read an article where 1 5/8" shorty headers produced 9hp over stock and 1 3/4" long tube 21hp. Not really a fair comparison unless both same diameter IMO.
