  1. Yah. I have been reading/hearing the horror stories. Have not been following it super close though. Fortunately I have a few months before I need to pull the trigger, so hopefully there will be enough development between now and then to get a good sense of the right direction to go. After having owned the Ford 7.3L gas, I would like to back to the diesel. More so because I will be pulling a 5th wheel / goose neck and prefer the planted feeling of the extra weight up front. Also the convenience of easily adding a larger capacity fuel tank for an affordable price for convenience. Just want to make sure that GM or the alternative warranty plans or are not super-pricks about providing you the coverage you are paying for assuming any failures are not due to neglect.
  2. Hey Everyone, Needs have recently dictated that I am back in the market for another 3/4 ton. Previous was a '22 F250 Tremor 7.3L gas. Going with a diesel again this time. I am looking to purchase a one or two year model. Not brand new. I do not want to deal with all the back and forth return visits to the dealer over poor quality control, assembly/workmanship and recalls, nor the new vehicle depreciation hit. One of my decisions makers is around the extended warranty coverage for the fuel and emission systems on these trucks. Is anyone able to speak to experiences on warranty coverage, either through the manufactures extended warranty plan or a third party warranty company? I do not have an issue paying for the highest level of coverage or paying a deductible if needed on a large repair bill. I just want the peace of mind that if something happens, I am not going to be given the run-around for months trying to get repair work against the fuel/emissions systems covered under the warranty that I am paying specifically for. I should note - this is in Canada. Not sure how the warranty plans differ, if at all, between the US and Canada. Thanks
