    Thanks for the quick reply. I had the dual motor AMPs on my 2018 Silverado and I loved them. I just read on another thread that GM is chaging the power steps for the '24 model 1500 so maybe they are more like the AMP version.

    @fatwhiteboy or anybody that knows -I realize this is an old thread but maybe you can answer the question I have. I'm interested in replacing the factory power steps on my 22 Sierra 1500 and wondered if the factory steps that come on the higher trim 2500/3500 trucks will fit the 1500. They are similar to (if not the same as) the Amp steps. They retract down instead of just out. Thanks Jim

    I realize this is almost a year old, but I would like to know if you added the amp to your truck and if so, what are the details of the install. Also, did you do anything about the door chimes as far as being loud? I've got a 22 refresh Denali and am gathering stuff to do the same thing. BTW, I have ordered from John at AIS and I have to say he is excellent to work with. Very good quality. Thanks! Jim

    Hey Phil, The 84288042 is backordered all over with no ETA. Is the only difference between the 8042 and 8045 the chrome handle? Do you know if the 8045 will fit a Silverado? Thanks, Jim
