I've had a center shift on my Envoy for the last 10 years, I am so glad to be getting rid of it.
It takes up a lot of space where cup holders/electronics/small items can be in easy reach.
Cleaning it/around it is a pain, having to snap off the knob skirt and wipe down the leather/pleather whatever.
I've always felt automatics should be on the wheel, manuals should be on the floor.
Of course I have somewhat of a hatred for manual shift, after having a manual Pontiac T/A back in the 90's and commuting from Fairfax, VA to Baltimore every day on 95/495/695 stop and go traffic.
