  1. could possibly be a front strut, mine made a popping noise like something was loose. Dealer replaced the front driver strut and it fixed the issue.
  2. I had to remove my shackles I bought for my truck the shackles everyone is selling are for the 07-13 models even though they are listed for the 14's The shackles on the 14's are a tad bit wider, so when putting the older body shackles on, it allows for the shackles to rock back and forth making a popping noise when turning or backing up. I have a picture somewhere of my shackles but can't post it here at work.
  3. here it is with the rear adjusted to the 6" position.
  4. Got my 3/5 DJM kit on today. Going to take the rear lifting shackles that came with the kit and put the stock shackles back on for a total of a 3/6 drop. I had used my 1/4" aluminum block in the rear with the flip so it sits up about 3/4" high right now. Without that block and the stock shackles it should sit perfect.
  5. Anyone using a rear flip kit have problems with the rear wheels centering in the rear fenders? From what I have read is that all of the kits for the 14's are using the same parts that were for the previous generation trucks and the rear flip kit drop in the rear pushes the rear wheels towards the rear of the fender opening about 1". The only kit that doesnt do this is mcgaughys.
  6. Just ordered 3/5 DJM kit with upper and lower control arms, rear pinon adjustable flip kit and rear shocks.
  7. I have heard there are issues with the rear shackles on the 14's. the bolt and hole aren't the exact fit for each other and the shackles are rocking on the bolt and making noises. I have shackles only on my truck and I am experiencing these noises.
  8. Bayou, you said you were having the vibration issues before? I know a few shops in here have been installing 2pc drive shafts from the previous body style and it has been correcting drive line vibration issues.
  9. No issues here. Pulled rear block and drop shackles.
  10. I'm planning on a 4/6 drop with 26x10's and 26x12's, front and rear tubs and should look similar to this photoshop.
  11. did it on my 2005 on accident and the truck shut off and the trans just went to neutral lol. I guess... if they are laying on the ground behind your truck... in that case, shouldn't you get out and help?
  12. No, thats not mine, just an example of partial color matching on a silver truck.
  13. I agree as well, If i had any other color I would want to color match the entire truck but the silver looks good with some chrome.
  14. Remove the rear blocks.
  15. 2" Leveling shackles to lower the rear.
  16. Looks good, I've decided to go with the Belltech 3/5 - 4/6 adjustable drop PN#996. I'll have to lower it 3/5 until I get wheels, the factory tires on the LTZ 20's are too tall and wide and will rub when lowered 4/6.
  17. Damn thats crazy I haven't ever heard anything about that!! What did the kit include??
  18. Yea that doesnt sound right at all.. lol well on second thought, I had to add 2" leveling shackles plus lowering blocks to lower the truck down almost 3" to make it perfectly level. So its possible!
  19. If you measure it out and it is really 1.25" - 1.5" higher in the rear. Removing the rear blocks should level it out perfectly. The factory blocks are 1.27" thick.
  20. My radio does not work at all with this antenna at all. I typically use my iphone and itunes radio so I havent taken it off yet.
  21. I've talked to a guy who has the 2/4 rough country and loves it, says it rides just like stock. It will sit a little higher in the rear, you'll need to adjust the rear by getting a lowering block but not sure what size would fix it.
  22. No need to, someone one here was talking about feeling the shocks bottom out, but after lowering mine, I think the bump stops were hitting (on his). Here is what they look like if they are not trimmed. I trimmed them off at the first large indention from the bottom.
