  1. The 19 mpg's was a 40 degree day on the highway 70 mph with a 30mph sustained gusting to 50mph tail wind.
  2. I'll try to get a pic of the dic today...lifetime average this morning was 10.6 mpgs at just over 900 miles. Yeah....I know not many miles...9 degrees this morning and once again after a few days in the upper 30's and low 40's my mileage is going backwards again...I was only at 13mpg in town to start with. running 89 octane 10% ethanol.
  3. I understand that... But are you averaging 10 to 11 mpgs? THAT is what I'm bitching about...I assume some loss because of temp changes...But not to get anywhere near estimates, that's bull shit.
  4. Here in Michigan it's crazy temp swings. .. 20 one day 45 the next... And my mileage changes with the temp. ..I own a bipolar Sierra.
  5. You're kidding me...you had to get a lawyer? I got sick and didn't make it to work or my dealer for a few days,,,but I'm talking to them now...The only other issue I have is the frigging fog in the headlights all of the time.
  6. Thanks for the input. Auto Start / Warm absolutely effects mileage reading...no doubt...I accept that. I've tried higher Octane and I've tried "top tier" gas. No difference. I operate this truck the same way I did my 2012. It's very frustrating. I have yet to get 300 miles out of a tank of gas in this truck. 260 miles has been the best and that was coasting the thing in on fumes. I expected better, I should be getting better.
  7. EXACTLY! GM needs someone looking at this...even though the southern boys in this thread think we're nuts...this is a real issue in the cold! Where is the GM service Rep? They seem to show up in every other cotton picking thread on this site?!
  8. What are those other test fuel types? I don't touch E85.
  9. This is on my list when I go into the dealer...Luckily my list is very short.
  10. The last 2 days 90% city driving and I'm hitting 16 mpg. When I say city I talking 35 to 45 kph and lights every 1/4 to 1/2 mile. Same driving I always do...From 11 to 16. The only difference...TEMPERATURE! Instead of low 20th and high teens...it's was high 30s low 40s here in mid Michigan. Any deep North boys noticing this? The last 2 days 90% city driving and I'm hitting 16 mpg. When I say city I talking 35 to 45 kph and lights every 1/4 to 1/2 mile. Same driving I always do...From 11 to 16. 11. True...I'm glad you all are getting good mileage...it gives me some hope! I wonder if our blend is wrong considering it's been so cold here in Michigan this year...We have been consisting 20 degrees colder than average.
  12. I'd be EXTACTIC with 13!!!!! I'm hoping. My boss live one block from me...same commute...he drives like an ****. Seriously the guy has damn near killed half the people in our office...he's getting 14!
  13. The terrain is perfectly flat...jack. EVERY other GM truck I have ever owned didn't START out by getting shitty gas mileage! and it's the same drive. My dealer told me it shouldn't be doing this...because of multiple issues I've had they keep in touch about this truck. Hey, I'm a GM fan boy...but sometimes you got to call a spade a spade...the 2014's seem to be getting terrible gas mileage in the North, it's not just me!
  14. FWIW my mileage is still poor. The best ive gotten was a 50 mile round trip on the highway 14 mpg down with 19 mpg back 30 mph head wind down 30 mph tail wind home gusting to 50. Other than that my average is still a lifetime of 11 mpg at 702 total miles. Mostly city driving. I have a 6 mile drive to work. I don't drive like an idiot...I've been driving to get good gas mileage. Mine will be going into the dealer next week. Bash me if you want...I'll post dic pictures this week...fact is my 2014 truck gets worse gas mileage than my 2012. My 2012 would get 13 with the same city driving conditions. 2014 Sierra All Terrain Crew Cab, 5.3l, 3.42, 18" factory Goodyear
  15. Mine do the same thing...going to go to the dealer after a few more tanks of gas to hit them with that and my stellar gas mileage.
  16. Thanks to that TSB my buddy's dealership is doing the fixes with no questions asked. Thanks again!
  17. 492 miles...70% city 11 mpg Lifetime
  18. My dealership has been great...no complaints at all. But I'm pretty sure these K2 trucks could explode and leave us with a smoldering pile of shit and melted rubber and GM would say "that's Normal".
  19. AMEN to that! GM told my dealership that any starter made after December should be OK. I didn't get any pictures or codes...I never thought about it! Now I wish I would have.
  20. Don't get to excited yet...I thought that too after the first starter. Wait until it starts in subzero degree (f) weather after sitting all night long.
  21. Well...my mileage is only going backwards...I'm starting to think that you either buy a GM that's an oil chugging slut (900 series) or a "fuel efficient" gas guzzling whore! No hard take offs..."slow in the drive" like rain man to the point my wife gets irritated that she's accusing me of driving like an old lady!
  22. Where can we find this TSB? My buddy has to get his fixed and doesn't want to have fight the dealer. If he has to fight to get it fixed under warranty he'll be driving a Blue Oval.
