  1. You mean a mere $55k? What i dont expect is the wax dip to be falling and peeling off like dead skin from a sunburn.
  2. My Dad until recently wqs an interior designer at the tech center...he know works for another major manufacturer. Foreign made parts are a huge problem...theyve had to reject train loads of parts...wrong materials used etc. The foreign designed parts are even worse. It is not all of the problems but it is a huge part.
  3. My dealer wants to have a sit down meeting with me prior to doing this work. They want to set expectations because this touch up fix isn't a fix, it is an appeasement. I have rust down the complete weld seem of the frame...it's ridiculous.
  4. I get one vacation a year...nothing says go to hell GM like a 16 hour drive home in 90 degree plus weather with n your wife and 2 dogs. My wife has a bad sun burn on her right shoulder from driving with the windows down. I just had the dash put back together from rattling apart for the fourth prior to leaving on the trip. 2014 Sierra crew all terrain 27,800 miles. DEALER TRIP NUMBER 21 I think I'm calling a lawyer in the morning.
  5. My dealer still denies that there is seat shifting, Rough transmission shifting or hard shifting. I don't have to point any of it out and every passenger in my truck notices it. The best part is my "Relative" at the tech center car pools with 2 other engineers there and they both just bought new trucks...one a sierra and one a Silverado. Exact same bitches and complaints we all have. Fuel Mileage, shifting seats, rough shifting and cracks and pops. I went through the list with them..."Winter Fuel" (though I've been told it was a fuel mixture change in the new program because of the exhaust running too hot.), Bad seat brackets, That's the transmission learning how you drive and what cracks and pops? (showed them the pieces in the truck that made the noise around the radio). You think I normal customer gets angry about problems with there $50k+ trucks...you should see 2 GM engineers get angry over there $50k+ trucks...it's a sight to behold!
  6. Yep...that's actually exactly what they did and do. A relative of mine is a designer at the Warren tech center...this is how they roll. They come up with a design that works then cheapen it up as much as possible. profit baby profit
  7. I had this when I bought mine last February...it lasted about a week. It seems to have "burned off" and knock on wood, it hasn't been back. I also read on here a guy purged his with nitrogen and it was gone instantly.
  8. Well...they fixed it so they must have done something.
  9. My dealer suggested I was compromising the electrical system...I know it's bull shit. But this ain't our Grand Daddy's GM anymore. I actually get better light now...they're not towed in and I can see a little better. So I had them go one click up to put more light down on road and more up in the trees. Now that they're not cross eyed...I'll adjust them myself. Even though I watched them...they claim they did nothing to fix the cross eyed situation. They still suck. Please send me the HID that you used.
  10. I'm sitting here at the Dealer now...I have 2 options...more light on the road at low beams and more light in the trees on high beams or less light on the road on low beams and less light in the trees on high beams. No bulb upgrades available and if I do a conversion kiss warranty good bye. So...I'll be calling GM this afternoon.
  11. How can you fix it without butchering and going HID?
  12. are you a moron? I'm not hacking up a bulb or headlight system on a warrantied vehicle. I have had to many issues with this piece of shit. adjusting? Sure I can adjust them...but I'm going to let the dealer do it 2 hours...they're already told me over the phone it will do no good. I don't give a **** about LED, HID, I just want GM to make these mother ****ers work. Entiled to correctly working headlights after paying $50k your god damn right! With GM engineers in the family and GM engineers as friends...I go the dealership route because that's how things get fixed for everybody! I personally know of 3 GM engineers that work at the tech center with new Sierras with less miles than mine I have 5,800 that are more pissed about their headlights and their gas mileage than I am!
  13. I'll chime back in here. Due to remodeling my house all year I just haven't made it out to the country at night. we live in a small suburb of a small city. I have missed 3 driveways in town and almost tagged a deer standing on the shoulder of the road that neither myself or my wife (and the deer was on her side) saw. Well we finally made it to the country to attend a friends church event and let me tell you....this thing isn't safe to drive. it was slightly misty and we both noticed the directions of the beams. I pulled into a business on a country road...after almost missing the driveway...and found that BOTH lights are toed in and up! 100 yards away this piece of shit on high beams light up the TOP of trees! I suppose if you are a coon hunter this is a wonderful thing! There is very little light on the road and very little light to the sides. as we are driving down these country roads with the brights on you the tree canopy ahead glowed nicely while the road was very dim. if GM can't fix this, this thing is gone and I'll have a Ford in my driveway ASAP.
  14. HEADLIGHTS THAT WORK!
  15. I found taking pictures and video with my phone can get a lot done. Especially when they call the GM approval boob...as soon as they say "he has video" all kinds of things get approved. That's how I got the Tranny and t-case replaced in my 2009 Silverado...if I parked on a slope while in auto 4x4 and 4x4 engaged before putting it in park...the t-case went into neutral and that bitch would go rolling back down the slope! They told me I was full of it 3 times...then I brought video...Game Changer! GM couldn't find any problems and just replaced everything.
  16. I know this for a fact...in my 2009 and my 2012, I could see deer a ways off to the side of the road. now...that sum bitch needs to be damn near be sticking it's head out into traffic while standing on the shoulder...don't get me started about rainy misty weather. They are nowhere near as efficient as my 2012, it was like using a spot light. I don't care about the Kelvin color of the light so people can get a hard on about how great my truck looks...I know it looks good! New to projector technology, yep. Cheaped out LAMP technology by GM, you betcha. Pass DOT MINIMUMS? Obviously. Get used to it? Eventually. Like it? Hell No. Spend money I shouldn't have to upgrade a poor functioning item on a $50k plus truck? BEGRUDGINGLY I'll try to post some comparison picks at night with my Bosses 2013 Sierra SLE versus my 2014 Sierra SLE All Terrain in our work parking lot.
  17. How did you do that?
  18. I just had the transfer case recall reprogram done...I went from 15.3 mpg city and 21 mpg highway to 12.3 mpg city and 18 mpg highway.
  19. I just took my truck in and this was on the "list" of issues I have. Bought it in February this year and was told to put some miles on it before addressing any issues by GM. well I got 4,600 miles on it finally. "Couldn't Duplicate The problem". Nor could they duplicate the vibration in the dash that makes the truck un-drivable. That took a second trip and when I took the tech guy for a ride it was amazing...I never got the truck over 15 mph and ta da! there it was. On the bright side...after the flash of my ECU for the recall...I'm back down to 12 MPG's! I've lost all confidence in GM.
  20. I had an 2009 Silverado and a 2012...great lights. Now I have this 2014 Sierra AT Edition....terrible. The other night my wife told me hey...turn the headlights on! Uh, honey...they are. Yeah...they're that bad.
  21. If that will reset it... I'd try that. It's not like it can get worse.
  22. I go to the dealer tomorrow for unrelated items but his will be discussed. 2014 AT Edition 5.3l Saturday with the cruise set 110 mile round trip (90 miles highway) the DIC said 19.8mpg. On the highway portion it was 20.5 mpg. cruise set at 74mph their and back. 76 degrees outside. Tons better so far...appears I just can't afford to drive it when it gets cold.
  23. Well...since there is another recall...I'll be letting my dealer take a look at the mileage issue early. Hopefully Friday or early next week.
  24. When did you do that?!
