  1. You mean a mere $55k? What i dont expect is the wax dip to be falling and peeling off like dead skin from a sunburn.
  2. My Dad until recently wqs an interior designer at the tech center...he know works for another major manufacturer. Foreign made parts are a huge problem...theyve had to reject train loads of parts...wrong materials used etc. The foreign designed parts are even worse. It is not all of the problems but it is a huge part.
  3. My dealer wants to have a sit down meeting with me prior to doing this work. They want to set expectations because this touch up fix isn't a fix, it is an appeasement. I have rust down the complete weld seem of the frame...it's ridiculous.
  4. I get one vacation a year...nothing says go to hell GM like a 16 hour drive home in 90 degree plus weather with n your wife and 2 dogs. My wife has a bad sun burn on her right shoulder from driving with the windows down. I just had the dash put back together from rattling apart for the fourth prior to leaving on the trip. 2014 Sierra crew all terrain 27,800 miles. DEALER TRIP NUMBER 21 I think I'm calling a lawyer in the morning.
  5. My dealer still denies that there is seat shifting, Rough transmission shifting or hard shifting. I don't have to point any of it out and every passenger in my truck notices it. The best part is my "Relative" at the tech center car pools with 2 other engineers there and they both just bought new trucks...one a sierra and one a Silverado. Exact same bitches and complaints we all have. Fuel Mileage, shifting seats, rough shifting and cracks and pops. I went through the list with them..."Winter Fuel" (though I've been told it was a fuel mixture change in the new program because of the exhaust running too hot.), Bad seat brackets, That's the transmission learning how you drive and what cracks and pops? (showed them the pieces in the truck that made the noise around the radio). You think I normal customer gets angry about problems with there $50k+ trucks...you should see 2 GM engineers get angry over there $50k+ trucks...it's a sight to behold!
  6. Yep...that's actually exactly what they did and do. A relative of mine is a designer at the Warren tech center...this is how they roll. They come up with a design that works then cheapen it up as much as possible. profit baby profit
  7. I had this when I bought mine last February...it lasted about a week. It seems to have "burned off" and knock on wood, it hasn't been back. I also read on here a guy purged his with nitrogen and it was gone instantly.
  8. I found taking pictures and video with my phone can get a lot done. Especially when they call the GM approval boob...as soon as they say "he has video" all kinds of things get approved. That's how I got the Tranny and t-case replaced in my 2009 Silverado...if I parked on a slope while in auto 4x4 and 4x4 engaged before putting it in park...the t-case went into neutral and that bitch would go rolling back down the slope! They told me I was full of it 3 times...then I brought video...Game Changer! GM couldn't find any problems and just replaced everything.
  9. How did you do that?
  10. I just had the transfer case recall reprogram done...I went from 15.3 mpg city and 21 mpg highway to 12.3 mpg city and 18 mpg highway.
  11. I just took my truck in and this was on the "list" of issues I have. Bought it in February this year and was told to put some miles on it before addressing any issues by GM. well I got 4,600 miles on it finally. "Couldn't Duplicate The problem". Nor could they duplicate the vibration in the dash that makes the truck un-drivable. That took a second trip and when I took the tech guy for a ride it was amazing...I never got the truck over 15 mph and ta da! there it was. On the bright side...after the flash of my ECU for the recall...I'm back down to 12 MPG's! I've lost all confidence in GM.
  12. If that will reset it... I'd try that. It's not like it can get worse.
  13. I go to the dealer tomorrow for unrelated items but his will be discussed. 2014 AT Edition 5.3l Saturday with the cruise set 110 mile round trip (90 miles highway) the DIC said 19.8mpg. On the highway portion it was 20.5 mpg. cruise set at 74mph their and back. 76 degrees outside. Tons better so far...appears I just can't afford to drive it when it gets cold.
  14. Well...since there is another recall...I'll be letting my dealer take a look at the mileage issue early. Hopefully Friday or early next week.
  15. When did you do that?!
  16. But they're made in a sweat shop in Mexico.
  17. With the warm up in Michigan in town I was getting around 15...temperature plummeted back below freezing and she went right back to around 11. Temperature back up back up to around 15. The first tank of gas after 2,000 miles it goes back to the dealer.
  18. WTF...I love looking at my truck...hate driving it. On the suggestion of someone here I reset the 25 mile average and watch that...I'm coasting down my road right at 14mpgs....not touch the break...turn into my driveway...roll 30 feet....hit the breaks place in park and the mpg changes to 13.5. Today on the way to work driving down the road...in V4 mode...13.5 mpgs...13.6 mpgs...13.7 mpgs...13.8 mpgs...13.9 mpgs...14 mpgs...then all of a sudden still in v4 cruise set BAM!!!!!! 13.5 mpgs!!!!! My truck can't even decide if it's getting better or worse!!!!!
  19. My dealer is awesome...but I want to play GM's game because if it doesn't get fixed...I'm going to break it off where the sun don't shine.
  20. So do I! It was mostly city and country driving. .. I'd say 70% city, 20% country and 10% highway. Hopefully it will get better...I told my dealer I'll play GMs game... But the first tank after 2000 miles and it is going in. My dealer wants it now.
  21. Hand called last night at full up. ..dic said 12.5 hand Calc 11.11
  22. So with our temp swing over the last week...City driving I was up around 13.5 mpg but the temps were in the 30's and low 40's. the last couple days have been back down in the low 20's...same route driving the same way...just like a hamster on his wheel...back around 10.5 - 11. Because of work I haven't made into my dealer. via phone they're saying that's not right (they're in the "city") so they see a lot of "city" drivers in these trucks. I spoke with GM Customer Service via a chat window...she said wait until 2000 miles because your truck isn't broke in yet. When I asked why then the owners manual says 500 miles was break in I got no answer. She also said nothing is wrong with my truck because 13 is close to 16 (I'm assuming GM has adopted "common core" math). When I asked if 10.5-11 was close to 16 she told me no it wasn't. So I'm assuming I should take the truck in now since GM considers that there is something not right now...but when temps go up everything will be "normal".
  23. Nice...the only way I'd get that mileage is down hill with an 80 mph tail wind and my tires inflated to 50 psi.
  24. Ma wafes ferm kantuckee I get ja lad and kleeer!
  25. I'm doing a hand calc on this tank and from here on out...but if the DIC is showing 1 mpg better than I'm actually getting...holy wah...I'm screwed.
