  1. Turned my 2014 GMC Sierra Double Cab in for wet carpets and when I went by today to get my sun glasses, the interior had been stripped out completely, carpets, seats and head liner. I was told it is either the back window or the 3rd brake light. To date: 1. Warped side rail cover = awaiting parts to come in. 2. Rust and Wax covering on the frame coming off = have to wait for the kit to repair the issue. Coming in from Canada. 3. Water leak and wet carpets. 4. Spray in bed liner covered up the plugs for the extra bed hooks = have to drop off at dealer to send back for further repairs. All this on a truck less than two weeks off the lot. UGH!! Didn't have these types of issues with my 2012 Chevy. I really liked the interior of the 2014 but not the issues. i HOPE this isn't the start of what you had gone through.

  3. I had just traded my 2012 CC Silverado for a 2014 DC Sierra. I love the Sierra and am amazed at the design advancements and appearance package of the interior. My Silverado had WAX/Rust issues and so does my GMC, but the dealership is working to satisfy any and all issues I seem to have. If you are looking for a loaded truck with a great deal of "creature" comforts I would go with the GMC over the Silverado. As for the new tranny with more gears... that could put you back into the first article problems and issues with a new untested transmission. Either way they are both very nice trucks.
  4. I just turned my 2014 GMC Sierra for a leak internally (carpets wet). I spoke with the service manager about the rust and was told he has to order a kit which comes in from Canada. It will be a bit before I bring it back for that issue, however I was told it only deals with the FRAME rust and peeling wax and not the rest of components. Is this the same response others have been receiving?
  5. I have read a bit about the "drone" or Helicopter sounds when switching from V8-V4. Is this something that cannot be overlooked or ignored? Is the sound too much to bear? I am looking into Gibson, Flowmaster, Corsa and MagnaFlow, anyone have any definite pros or cons?
