    Question, GM in their infinite wisdon has discontinued Crankshaft part # 12559357. It was used in the 2004 5.3 with fixed pin pistons. The one I have is junk. I really don't want to have to buy new rods along with a new crank and new pistons. Why can't fixed pin pistons be used with the newer cranks that utilize floating pin pistons?
