    Unfortunately this thread is getting so far off subject it may become useless to the person looking for "on topic" solutions and help. This thread was a tremendous help when I was looking for answers.

    I believe you are correct that we may be sometimes over reacting to vibration, but I believe that is because there IS an issue and no answers from GM. I wish GM would come forward and clarify what are the know problems and what are just design characteristics. IMHO, open dialogue would be very beneficial in sorting this out.

    Fortunately my vibration issue is gone. I returned my truck and purchased a non-GM vehicle this week. I have very mixed feelings as I have been a GM customer for 37 years, but the reality is the New GM is not the same company I have dealt with over the years.

    I strongly recommend contacting the BBB once your vehicle is eligible under your states lemon law. Once you are in the "legal" dialog, verses the customer care dialog, progress is very fast. I received a 100% repurchase agreement. Document every conversation with salesman, service department, and GM; document every repair action; and know the lemon law.     I'm nearing the end of the repurchase process and the turn-in date for my truck is soon. The gentleman handling my case said "sorry for the delay on this, we’ve just been swamped".

    Did you test drive the 2015 before you purchased it? Considering the issues with the 2014 I would have done a thorough shakedown.

    Has there been issues with the 2015's? I'm now in the position I need to find a new vehicle...

    It only took a couple of weeks after contacting the BBB. This is the required first step for Lemon Law cases in my state.

    It's over. "The consumer and General Motors have reached the following agreement: The manufacturer will repurchase the consumer's vehicle per the standards of the xxxxx lemon law. Rebates, incentives and any negative equity or over allowance will be deducted from the repurchase award.The consumer is responsible for returning the vehicle without any damage beyond normal wear and tear. The transaction will be completed within 30 days."

    Your video is exactly like the condition my truck had. I used a phone app that records vibration to show the dealer. I would insist on checking the ring & pinion gears (backlash out of spec). That was the solution after tires (replaced Goodyear with Continental), wheels, shocks, and balanced drive shaft. On another note, GM Customer Care was unresponsive/unhelpful until I filed a BBB Lemon Law claim.

    The vibration on my vehicle was severe enough that the rear wheels felt like they were hopping at 75 MPH.

    Good news. Changing the ring & pinion gear eliminated my above 68 mph vibration. I will say correcting this issue is 100% due to the diligence of the assistant service manager at the dealership. GM Custom Care was of no assistance.

    I purchased a regular cab-short box 2014 Sierra in late September. The dealer has had the vehicle ever since due to vibration issues above 68 mph. Dealer has replaced tires, wheels, shocks, balanced the drive-shaft, and now is replacing the ring & pinion gears. He is sure this will correct the issue...I sure hope so.
