  1. I've had an annoying constant clunk every time i come to a stop from reverse or forward. I've taken it to the deal many times. the truck has 3k miles on it 2015 single cab. In my case, it was the fuel in the tank actually sloshing around. but sometimes the clunk is so hard i feel it into the cabin. the fuel tank is un-baffled (cheaper production). so the fuel plays around and gives you a knock. they have installed a 3m insulator around the tank. and the noise did reduced by 50% but still is there. if its not your yoke or leafs, then it most probably is the fuel tank. ive made a post on it.
  2. I still just don't understand how fuel knock bang and sloshing is normal for a truck of this generation . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Hello! I've been suffering with the same issue. It gets to me and it's so frustrating. Sometimes I hear into the cabin. I've sent my truck and complained many times. I just received my truck. It's a 2015. Less and 3k miles. They have showed me a document saying that fuel bump/knock is normal and no modifications must be made to the tank. Yes their tank is unbaffled. Noise and knock much lower when tank is below half. The dealer has installed isolation around the fuel tank, they covered it under warranty. The noise knock has reduced a lot. Possibly 50% lower. 4. I don't think so, it's too hard to be a slosh. It causes a vibration across the entire tank and also felt into the cabin. At times slight vibration onto the bed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Yes I thought it would too. But I've check 2 other z71 2015 , there is no fuel tank skid plates. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Yes. After coming to a stop, either after driving forward or reverse. I hear something moving and banging inside, and when I'm under the truck I can hear the liquid move. But definitely an object or a loose part inside. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I've checked the spare tired. All is good. Yes this is a z71 option. Truck has 2k miles only.
  8. I made a post earlier about thump noises after stopping. Dealer said they greased my leafs and should be gone. Issue started again right after I left the dealer. Today I got under the truck. Let someone reverse and stop. I heard and felt the noises from the fuel tank. Like something's is loose? Swimming inside? Going back and forth. The stronger the stopping the louder the sound. Anyone face a similar issue? This is a 2015 single cab 4x4. Taking it to the dealer tomorrow. I would like some insight. I'll attach the picture of where the sound is most noticeable. Thanks guys. 9. No ice here or extreme weather conditions. I went off-road and abused the truck for 2 hours. Then the rest of the night and the next day the thump sounds were all gone. After driving on normal road for a long drive 2 hours - the moment I stopped, it came back. I'm not convinced that it's normal as stated by the dealer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Update: 2 days later same issue. And even worse. Has anyone come across a fix? Shackles/leafs - I can't really tell what's faulty. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I just got my truck my yesterday. They said its from the leaf/spring set. That it's moving horizontally back and forth with breaking. They called me I went to pick it up. The lower the leafs, greased it. And re tightened all bolts. They said the sound was all gone. Trying the truck, the sound is there. But much lower that i brought it in. So I assume it is from the leaf but they haven't gotten to it yet. I spoke to any other dealer, they told me it's normal and goes after time with usage. I don't think it's normal. I don't like it either. It's much lower that it was, so I'll drive it around for another 2k miles and see what happens. As for the seat and seat bracket. They greased and re tightened . Sound and crackles came back after a few sharp turns. Love the truck. But can't understand some of the final touches made. Is it true they are changing the leaf design/ quality for the 2016 ?? 12. I just got back from the dealer. Gave in the truck. I was able to duplicate the sound. They did hear it. His initial diagnosis was it was from the rear leaf / shackles, that it moves slightly. Not sure about that. But could be a possible issue. It's been increasing lately, it was a one two time thing, but now it's on every time I stop now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Hi Guys! I've tried to search for this issue, found one or two posts that are close, I'll be taking my truck soon to the dealer hope someone can shed some light plz. 2015 GMC Sierra Reg cab - mileage just under 2k. Every time I decelerate to a stop I hear 2 knocks under the bed, over time it's increasing and getting louder and can't be ignored. This only happens when I come to a stop when driving slowly. Stopping from high speeds does not produce that noise. It also happens when I reserve slowly and stop. (Always happens during reverse) It's feels more of a roll-knock kind of sound. It's always 2 knocks and there is a slight pause in between both. Anyone has a similar issue ? Fixes ? It's not from the transmission - does not feel like it is. Could it be brake system ? Maybe suspension ? Of course I have the common seat issue, moves and cracks at turns. Shame some issues are repeated for the 2015 models. Thanks guys. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Hey Guys, Receiving my 2015 in 2 days (pics attached). Wondered if anyone painted those rims bLack or any dark color? If painted, what kind of paint do u recommend ? Do you think car wrap stuff would work on the rims? Sorry for the newbie questions - I'm new to run color change. Thanks guys
  15. Looks great! Color match the bumper. It would be perfect !
