  1. Mine was fixed by correcting the rear axle backlash. Upon checking the original rear end they found the back lash to be all over the place. GM engineer approved a new rear axle. Prior to installing it the technician opened it up and found it was also all over the place on backlash measurements. He then replaced the ring and pinion in the new axle. Once installed the vibs were gone. It has been almost 2 years now and still no issues.
  2. pinion shaft to driveshaft angle issues will change with vehicle speed/tire speed not engine speed. the drive shaft is always spinning approximately 3 times the speed of the tires. depending what gear the transmission is in will determine the engine speed for a given vehicle speed. you can do 70mph in 5th or 6th. the engine speed will be very different. however the tire rpms and drive shaft rpms will be the same at 70mph in 5th as they are at 70mph in 6th.
  3. mine is fixed!!! hopefully it doesn't come back. new rear axle assembly and new tires seemed to do the trick. looks like mine was a combination of f couple of issues.
  4. they authorized a new complete rear end for mine. including rotors calipers everything. hope this takes care of the issue on mine.
  5. i will if i ever get mine back. actually i hope they fix it and i dont have to do a video. i should have done a video before i brought it. search on youtube there are a few already on there.
  6. Mine has been at the dealer for 3 days now. shakes just like in the vid above mostly between 70 and 75. they checked the wheels said they were all within spec but they went ahead and re balanced them anyway. they test drove it and said problem was still there. next they swapped out the rims and tires with another truck and problem still existed. then they rotated those new wheels and tires still no difference. technician took another truck for a test drive and said it did the same thing and that it must be normal for these trucks. service adviser is waiting on the service manager to make a decision on what to do next. i really like my truck hope it gets fixed.
  7. Well add me to the list. 2015, double cab, 5.3, ls custom, 600 miles. Console shakes like crazy between 70 and 80. I found this thread pretty quickly when I started researching if anyone had the same issue. I can't believe how long this has been going on without a fix or root cause. I am an engineer with a large pipeline valve manufacturer and there is no way we would get away with having problems in the field this long without finding a cause and correcting it. My dad is a diesel and auto technician and has been for 35 years. I am going to see what he thinks. Hard to mess with experience.
