  1. I've been planning on replacing my L84 when she gets up there in miles, was going to upgrade to the L87. Now I'm seeing this L8T crate from GM and I'd love to make this work when I do the swap. https://www.motortrend.com/how-to/chevrolet-performance-6-6-liter-l8t-v-8-crate-engine-specs/ I know the L87 is close to plug/play from the L84 since there are separate transmission controllers, but would the L8T be a similar situation? Hoping so, would be a cool swap to do and document.
  2. Some tiny little **** broke into my truck through the sliding rear window. Bought the glass, seeing a lot of things on full rear window replacement as well as sliding rear window replacement (but for the older trucks, where the process is much simpler). I got the old window out, I've got the new window hooked back up. But for the life of me I can't figure out how to get the top of the glass into the channel because there is no give anywhere on that molded piece. Anyone done this before?
  3. Ok, thanks - good option. That's a tiny spacer, was it hub centric and do you remember what brand you went with?
  4. Good eye. It does have the ready lift UCAs. Look like 33 12.50 20 on the tire, glancing at the pic can you tell what offset (if any?) I've been looking at the fuel siege 20x9 w/ +1 offset to get a little bit of a wider stance on the truck. This truck looks more like a -18 or more. Any ideas on the offset?
  5. Hey guys, I'm trying to change the look of my truck a bit and came across this 2019 carbonpro. Looks like it's running 33s on 20" wheels, but would appreciate anyone correcting or confirming me. other thing is, one buddy thinks this is a stock AT4 lift on 33s. Other one thinks it looks taller than the stock AT4s that GM puts out, mainly because those are running 18" wheels and they don't look like they have this kind of clearance. What do the pros think?
  6. They put the order in last week about this time, she sent me the screenshot showing the 4/18 TPW this AM - I'm skeptical, but hoping that it's legit because my trade (19 Sierra 1500 SLT) will never be worth more than it is as I type this.
  7. Maybe not marked up at all, but I just ordered a 2022 Sierra 2500 AT4 w/ Duramax and base was around $72k before adding options. I have only bought 1500's in the past, and never built one - so no frame of reference for how marked up things are right now in these crazy times of chip shortages, inflation, etc. Is this price more or less in line with GM's MSRP on 2020/2021 2500 AT4s, or a bloated sticker? I miss the days of $15k rebates from the dealer at end of year. Either way, my truck shows a 4/18 TPW date so hoping to have her by May. Can't wait.
  8. I did the line X ultra color match by paint code on front and rear bumpers. I ended up selling the bumpers and going with painted, the color match just never looked right with the metallic flake on my color. Looked too shiny when it was clean, looked good when it was dirty though. Left the lower middle and valance because I liked it. I think black and white trucks look the best with the linex color match, rocker panels would look pretty cool on yours.
  9. Infotainment kit and new skinny camera cabling they provide worked great for me, quick 90 min mod.
  10. Great post - thanks. Black chroming mine this weekend.
  11. Good calls, will keep looking on non GMC parts sites and see what comes up.
  12. FYI on those parts right now
  13. Hopefully it's fixed, but I've got about 6 tanks in mine and this is the first time it happened. Thinking back on it, the truck was autostopped and I don't think I ever turned off the ignition because I'm not used to the auto stop and didn't hear the engine. Only X factor I can think of vs. the other tanks that filled fine, was yours completely off when you filled up?
  14. This just happened to me. New 2019 w/ 3k miles on her. First time it’s happened, and I’ve had a 15 and an 18. My 15/18 had the annoying fuel neck issue where the auto pump would cut off constantly, but not this. Going to call dealer tomorrow about the fuel filter hose. Has the fix held up?
  15. Based on the last pic of the ridge grappler setup, unless the person is Baja racing it with a 4 wheeler in the back I don’t think there is going to be an issue with bottoming out.
  16. I like 22" wheels on a truck as long as the tires aren't rubber bands, the new wheelwells are huge and there is way too much space with a stock 20" wheel and standard tire. Especially when you throw a level on. Nice looking truck.
  17. @GMCustomerService hooked me up. 3 day turnaround (and over a weekend no less), sent me the full RPO sheet. Give them a shout over private message with your VIN.
  18. Big thanks to Mike and all the rest of y'all for the help.
  19. Really appreciate that, thanks for helping me out. JG164174
  20. Miss the old RPO codes, end of an era.
  21. Having a hell of a time finding the gear ratio on this '18 sierra 4x4 SLT. Apparently GM stopped putting RPO stickers in the vehicle, and replaced with a QR scannable barcode...I guess because the $.19 cost of the stickers couldn't be offset by a $55k+ MSRP on the truck? So I scanned the QR code and got back an what looks like an incomplete list, don't see anything about the gear ratio (GT4, GU4, GU5, GU6, G80) because the list gets cut off with a bunch of ,,,,,. Downloaded 5 different QR apps approved by GM for the new RPO sticker, same result. ,2018,TK15543,09,17,06,VNHB58, AXK AY0 B3F CJ2 C5Z DL3 EF7 E63 FHO GAN H2U IO6 I18 JD9 L83 MAH MSL MYC NP5 NTB RC4 RC7 RD5 RUF UDD UQA U2K V8D WMJ Z71 Z88 4AA 4SA 6F1 7F1 8X2 9X2,636R,,,, Someone posted a link in here that took me to a GM site with all sorts of build docs on the 2018s, found a table. Based on my model (TK15543) and 5.3L (L83) engine, I have the following. I'm the second column w/ 3.08, 3.42, and 3.73 listed out. So I'm basically right where I started. I don't have the original sticker, so not sure how to go about getting this info other than getting a build sheet from the dealer (which I will do on Friday if needed). My truck is a texas edition, w/ trailer brake and tow button on gearshift. Never towed anything heavy enough to care, but looking to buy a ski boat and want to have the facts. Anyone know how to figure this out other than dealing with the dealership? Thanks
  22. Wanted to give a shout out to @pgamboa for a great experience, apologies if this is in the wrong place (I don’t post much). Was planning on parting out a console from GMpartsdirect for this swap, and then using Phil’s harness to tie everything together. Had my parts list in the shopping cart and reached out to Phil to order the harness. Turns out Phil now has the ability to have a complete, preassembled console from GM shipped directly to my door w/ his harness for about $300 less than what it would cost to do it all part by part. He offered different console colors, side trim, latch styles, and the option to upgrade to a wireless charging lid. Based on the reviews here, I sent him a PayPal and had everything I needed within a week. Now I have a fully operational console for 3/4 of what I would have paid to piece everything together separately. I would highly recommend Phil’s service to anyone looking to do this mod ?? On an unrelated note, I have a beautiful bench seat sitting in my garage right now...
