Any recommendations? 2014 sierra crew 1500 6'6" bed. Gonna be doing some cross country traveling leaving from Virginia beach for a while and wanted recommendations. I currently have a hard folding cover, but would like to get a hard shell maybe preferably with a pop up option. I'd like to be secured and weatherproof as I'll be storing valuables and may be sleeping in the back occasionally. Don't really want to be tied down to pulling a trailer. Any recommendations? Outside of the cheaper fiberglass covers?

Anyone ever run seafoam in their oil before an oil change? Just curious if you saw any benefit or had any issues.

Anyone ever have this issue? It sounds like creaking or almost like a static noise coming from the driver side. I dont think its the speaker, and only seems to be when the truck is under load or after letting off the gas. Video for reference 20260120_085441.mp4

Well 3 month update. Not really a discernable difference between the second and third pull in color. Again it may just be in my head, but I've noticed a smoother shifting after the first pull. I guess my takeaway is pulling from the tube and replacing little by little is peace of mind at best.

Did the cerakote on my headlights today, and so far happy with it, also still have enough to do it all over again if I need to. Gonna do the trim and paint tomorrow. All 3 kits were $50

Well I went ahead and installed it. My take aways, it's not bad depending on how it holds up for $230 it seems steep, but if it holds up I'd say its alright. I think it looks better than the plasti dip. They provided some tiny tape to cover any areas that may not cover the chrome. As far as the fitment, the center piece required some cutting and grinding to make it fit around the parking sensors. If you don't have parking sensors it would probably be near seamless.

Coming up on 120k. What's y'alls take on preventative maintenance besides oil spark plugs? Should I replace water pump?

Probably gonna pull the plug since I'm tired of the plasti dip coming off at the fog light seams. They did give me a discount code if anyone else wants it GMCNATION10 They said to let them know if there's any other overlays people would like to see for past/present models. They've mainly seen demand from Ford and Toyota truck owners.

Hello, I have a 2014 sierra with the 6l80. It's coming up on 120k miles, bought it with 40k and I don't believe the fluid was ever changed before. The fluid is relatively dark. I notice an audible noise when shifting into drive and a little slippage in lower gears. I was thinking of just pulling about 4 quarts from the dipstick tube and replacing with dex vi. Has anyone done this at such a high mileage, or am I better off just riding it out until the trans goes?
