  1. Yes IMO the F150 drove much nicer than the Ram and was overall more comfortable. Its was a few thousand more than the RAM but I got a lot more features for that additional cost. Drive them both and throw in the Tundra for good measures. I skipped the Tundra because I needed a crew cab with a 6-1/2" bed and the Tundra does not offer that.
  2. 3.5l Ecoboost
  3. I finally fixed the vibrations on my 2014 Silverado by replacing it with a 2016 F150 yesterday. Yea I lost a lot of money in the deal but this truck is better than my Silverado in every aspect. Its drives so nice and best of all does NOT vibrate. Now I can finally sleep at night and not have to worry about all the BS GM was feeding me. I lost my arbitration hearing with the BBB as they sided with GM stating it was "normal operation" to vibrate at speeds above the posted speed limit. This has been such a horrible experience and GM does not give 2 shits, I will never own another GM in my life. Time to put this all behind me and enjoy my new non-vibrating truck! Best of luck to all of you still fighting this. BTW for those worried about insurance going up for the alum body, my insurance actually went down $.04 /month with the F150.
  4. Yea it was a Big Horn package with dual exhaust, laramie was out of my price range. It sounds mean and you def know there is a hemi in there but a bit too much for daily driving.
  5. Sorry for the late response but I test drove the RAM on Friday and I can honestly say I did not like it at all. I know a lot of the other users on this forum switched from their GM to the RAM but its not for me. I does ride pretty soft due to the coil springs in all corners but its extremely loud inside and the interior felt cheap to me. Maybe it was just the particular truck I tested but it was so loud inside that at one point during the test drive I had to double check that my door was closed. You could also feel the engine vibrations in the floor during low RPMs which was annoying. Pricing was only a few thousand less than the F150 I drove but the F150 had a lot more options. Ill be heading back to the Ford dealer tomorrow to work out some numbers and hopefully say goodbye to my shaker. Take your time and test drive them all to see what you think.
  6. What happened with the Ford that almost killed you?
  7. I decided to skip the Tundra because they dont offer a crew cab with a 6-1/2' bed.....the crew cab is only available with a 5-1/2' bed and I really need the extra bed space. Ill let you know how I make out.
  8. Thanks for the advice. Just drove a '16 F150 3.5 ECO and it didnt vibrate at 75mph like my silverado lol. It was a really nice truck just a bit expensive. They offered me $27k for my '14 silverado. Heading to the RAM dealer now, ill let you know what I think. I hope to be out of this silverado by the end of the weekend.
  9. Dont waste your time with the BBB, hire a lawyer. Myself and a few others were recently denied a replacement/repurchase from the BBB. I think they are in bed with GM and being paid off to deny the customer.
  10. What year RAM did you have? Im off to test drive some trucks tomorrow and will be driving a 2016 RAM. I love the Tundra but they dont have a crew cab with a standard bed available which could be a deal breaker.
  11. Sorry to hear the outcome....Im still waiting for my arbitration decision from last week. Ive already begun looking at new trucks as Im anticipating trading this POS in. Researching other brands ive come across videos of the Ram and F150 with the same issue. Knowing my luck I will probably get another lemon. It seems like the Tundra is the way to go with the least amount of complaints. Good luck on your search and let us know what you end up with.
  12. So I finally have an arbitration hearing set for Jan. 7th with GM and the BBB for my 2014 Silverado. The paperwork has GM denying a buyback request and asking that I continue to work with GM per the terms of my warranty coverage so I guess we are going to fight it out! For anyone that has been to an arbitration hearing are there any tips you can offer? I have all my evidence which includes witness statements and videos of the vibrations. Im hoping I get an offer ahead of time like many other but I want to be prepared just in case.
  13. To those who have received a vehicle repurchase what can I expect as an offer? Did you get your full sale price plus tax/tags/title fees? What if you had a trade in at the time or purchase, how would they work that into the offer? Im sure I will lose mileage and the interest I paid on the load already. Im just trying to prep myself for arbitration shortly. I will NOT accept an upgrade, Im moving on to another brand.
  14. I finally got through to them today after numerous unanswered calls and emails. They are setting up arbitration in January at my local BBB. Hopefully I get an offer a few days in advance like others have but I will be prepared with witness statements and video. Whats the status on yours?
  15. Anyone have an issue with the BBB just not getting back to them? Ive been working with them for 6 months now and we are finally down to the last step which is arbitration I believe yet no one has called me in 4 weeks and I call/email every couple of days with no response. Im getting extremly annoyed with the BBB and their lack of customer service....they are almost as bad as GM! I guess you get what you dont pay for!
