  1. I've read through this topic purely out of curiosity as a GM tech. Couple thoughts. I have installed said bar on a Canyon with a roll up cover with the same notching as mentioned in previous posts, but on that vehicle the cover will roll up too big to fit between bar side rails. Another thought, after installing a few of these "OFF ROAD" kits, have found that the switch has to be held for a few seconds to turn on and off the factory light kit on roof and isn't controlled by highbeam. Info I haven't seen mentioned here on the topic. On all the installs I did, talked to customer and got permission to break power feed from relay to lights with an additional high beam controlled relay. Now when meeting oncoming traffic, they go off with beams instead of having to hold and wait for 3 seconds.
