  1. cool shot from this past weekend racing at Nashville Superspeedway...the truck didn't make it on track but it ended up in victory lane haha
  2. Not mine, too rich for my blood haha. I am a technician at Acura, its the first one we've gotten in. only $201,200
  3. 4wd. had it in the shop this past weekend making some adjustments. sat about a 1/4" lower on the LF so I made up some spacers to even it up. the RR was also alittle higher so I brought it down raising the opposite corner. Rides and drives great, no rubbing except full lock, barely touches the fender liners on large interstate bridge overpasses
  4. cool picture from the weekend...or lack there of since I was working haha
  5. ended up being about a 4.5/7 drop being a Z71. DJM 3" drop arms with Belltech front springs set on 1 inch. raised up about a half inch. rear is a DJM 6 inch flip kit with the shorter 1 inch shackle and Belltech nitro drop 2 shocks
  6. yessir, if I would have known I was going to drop it this much I would have opted for a little lower profile tire but it really isn't that bad, it barely rubs
  7. I haven't noticed it being any different to be honest. Part number SH1000? that's what I used. I know the Mcgaughys shackles I used said 88-16 were the same so I don't know what the difference would be with 99-06
  8. DJM makes a 1 inch lift shackle, I actually used it on my flip kit to get the extra inch down since I have the rear hanger inverted. I love my nitro drop 2s in the rear, huge improvement over my stock ranchos. im currently on #8504 for 2-4" lowering, need to swap them out for the #8510 which are for 5-7" lowering. I did not like the shock extender method, looked horrible and really didn't like how low the mounts were in relation to the rest of the truck
  9. damn that's badass!!! my wheels are now for sale hahaha
  10. decided to play around with some parts to get the truck down alittle more. 4.5/7 according to all of my measurements from when I first started with it. actually went too low in the front, had to space it up...still may bring it up a 1/4' or so. only issue is the top of the tire hits the fender liner on larger freeway bridge transitions (few of them in my daily route) other then that only full lock rubs...not on the fender liner but actually the inner lip of the rim touches the upper control arm. some wheel spacers will take care of that. no issues what so ever with 4wd. the rear driveshaft is now flat, plenty of clearance everywhere but need to play with the pinion angle still, getting a vibration for the first time at 70 and above. ride is not compromised in fact I believe it rides better then before. Probably should go to the next step shorter nitro drop 2 rear shocks since they are pretty compressed. That's it for me this time, its as low as it goes haha doesn't even look like the same truck anymore
  11. cool picture from a few weeks back after getting home from LS Fest. C10 is a '72 LS3/T56 powered
  12. no prob man, glad I could help. I think the confusion was the other member has a '16 with a steel front end, so I was giving him the part numbers for his truck, not what I used on mine
  13. my truck is the aluminum front end. I used CA2515-3
  14. thanks a lot! didn't originally plan on going that low but it definitely needed it!
  15. your kit will be different from mine. My truck has/had the aluminum control arms and knuckle. And the rear I already had 2" drop shackles on the truck so I used a 6" drop kit and re used the shackles to save alittle money. If GM hasn't made any changes from 2015 to 2016 you would use CA2007-3 for the front and RK2507-5 for the rear. They list these as up to 2015 and don't say anything about the 2016
  16. pictures were up on a previous post but aren't there now
  17. yup it is 4wd. Angles are perfect, 0 vibrations and no clearance issues. Only thing I may add is Belltech camber adjusters. The DJM upper arms compensate for the camber but it doesn't leave you enough adjustability to get the caster and camber perfect. Camber is set to spec but caster is just a bit off, equal side to side so there is no pull but being the perfectionist I am I want it to be dead on. Fine for now the truck drives great, felt alittle looser and more prone to wheelspin but I was also about out of fuel. Filled it up but haven't driven it since
  18. Got some time to tackle the DJM 3/5 drop this past weekend. Already had the Mcgaughys 2/3 drop on it. Lots of work but definitely worth it! Very happy how it turned out, the truck drives great. Also finally got the Ranchos and shock extenders off the rear and got some Belltech Nitrodrop 2s on the back. Got a bunch of additional install pictures i can post up pretty cool before and after shots. Not a bad transformation for 3 months since I got it
  19. Really all your doing to eliminating your vibration, a few degrees wont affect anything except how the gear oil is distributed in the diff. Have you driven it with it being 3* off yet? I know every truck is different but I am 3* off and have no vibration at all.
  20. that actually looks good with the wheel arch moldings painted. Debated on painting them for mine but was afraid it would look cheap or tacky.
  21. If you already have shims in the trans or rear end id take all of them out and start over. It is going to be much harder to get the 2 close if your adding and removing shims. Depending on how far your drop is you shouldn't have to mess with the transmission angle at all, it can all be made up with the rear end since that's what is rotated down when you lower it
  22. you need to measure the angle and not just guess and throw parts at it. You can download a free application on your smart phone for angle finder and measure it, believe it or not its pretty damn accurate. Get the truck on level ground and measure the angle at the slip yoke at the front of the driveshaft and then the yoke at the pinion. That will tell you how far you are off. For example I measured my truck before and after just to see the rate of change (every truck is different, my numbers can not be relevant to anyone elses truck). Stock my angles were 7* at the trans and 8* at the diff. 1 degree high, after it dropped to 4* after a 2 inch drop (already had the blocks removed). So mine is off by -3*, I have 0 vibration issues and I have not bothered with it
  23. currently on McGaughys 2/3.5 drop kit with my '14 Z71 but already want to go lower. Thinking about going with the DJM 3/5 drop to get alittle more aggressive and fix the front alignment issues
