  1. Update. I bought OEM Magneride Shocks/Struts from GM Parts Direct for $350 a piece. My Denali had 67k miles at the time and the fronts were completely shot. Had them installed at a local shop. For the first 1k miles or so, it drive like a new truck. Smooth as butter. Bumps were soft. I was super happy with them. Then after 1k miles or so, it started to ride HARSH. Now it's an uncomfortable ride. Does Magneride has "learning" like the engine and transmission? If so, is there any way to reprogram it to stop learning and stay "dumb."
  2. Reviving this topic. Anyone put aftermarket shocks such as Bilstein 5100 on their Sierra Denali? How does the ride compare? Mine just hit 61k miles. And the front struts seems to have been leaking for quite some time now. It also rides pretty rough these days. I also plan on taking this truck to 200k miles plus. Don’t want to be replacing Magneride shocks every 50-60k miles.
  3. Just noticed my Front Magnaride Struts are leaking. It has been riding gradually rougher. What is the part number for these struts? I can't seem to find them anywhere. Is there any re-programming necessary and needs to be installed at a dealer, or would a good suspension shop can install these?
  4. Agricover has great customer service for the Lomax. I had one of the very first Lomax covers when they were introduces in Sept of 2016. It had some issues with leaks. Also had minor issues when folding back down to cover the bed where the latch jammed. Plus the liner was coming apart. I called Agricover recently. They sent me another Lomax cover. Here are some of the improvements I noticed. - No More Leaks except for very small streaks - The latch was redesigned and closing the cover is much much better. - Redesigned brace that holds the cover in position when folded. Much better design - Has safety retention hook straps in the event the cover is folded and comes loose while driving I can safely say I really like the Lomax now, especially since the leaking issue has improved so drastically.
  5. Thanks. It will be worth it. The alignment shop said that factory specs has so much tolerance that even when the alignment is in spec, it could still be causing issues. This shop does alignment the old fashioned way by manually aligning, test driving and re-aligning till they get it right. They had an old school alignment machine.
  6. Took my truck to a local alignment shop. This shop has a reputation for doing alignments on race cars, and specialty vehicles. The 2 alignment techs there has been "married" to that alignment machine since the 80's at the location! 1 attempt, got it tracking perfectly straight, with the steering wheel perfectly center. It did costed me $89, but was well worth it.
  7. Ok it seem I may need to take it to another alignment place. My dealer has just had the 4th attempt at getting the steering wheel centered. Now it is even more offset to the right.
  8. Anyone else's truck has a steering wheel off center? Mine is off center to the right. The Truck tracks straight, just the steering wheel is degree of 2 to the right. I know this probably don't bother most people, but it bugs the hell out of me. I have taken it in to the dealer 3 times (along with transmission issues). All 3 times, they have attempted to re-align. All 3 times, it is still off center to the right. They have rotated the tires as well. Yes I am aware of uneven roads and some roads slopes etc. When I had a loaner, a Sierra SLE, and a Canyon SLE, the steering wheels were dead straight. When I test drove other Sierra Denali's their steering wheels were dead straight. A little back info. When I first test drove my truck, it was off center. I told dealer I won't take delivery until I steering wheel was centered. After second attempt, they got it straight. About 650 miles into it, steering wheels off center to the right again......that's when I took it back in 3 more times! Any advice is appreciated.
  9. I would probably wait for version 1.1. [emoji1] I do believe they would make the necessary modifications to get it right. Curt from Agricover did take notes on my suggestions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  10. Bought my Lomax directly from Agricover. Ordered mine on Sept 1st which was the day the Lomax became available for order. As a brand new product, I did expected to have some kinks to sort out. The Lomax arrived damaged. The aluminum panel was bent near the corner. Bad part was, I didn't realize it till I installed the rails and was ready to put the cover on. Called Agricover the next day. Their customer service was excellent though. I spoke with Curt and explained. He sent me a new Lomax, and sent Fedex to pick up the one I have. I received the second Lomax. This time I inspected before I attempted install. I saw they made modifications to the packaging. However, it arrived damaged again. I called Agricover once again. I took pics of the damage so they can get a better idea of how the damage occurred. They sent me a 3rd Lomax. This time it arrived intact. They made considerable modifications on the packaging. What I did notice was the rails are somewhat curved and made installation a bit tricky. One I got the clamps positioned properly, I was able to install ok. First impressions: Damn good looking cover. Very contemporary and low profile. The overall cover appears flimsy initially. I have been using it a few weeks and I guess it's sturdy enough. It did leak a bit on the sides when I go through the car wash. I readjusted the rails and lowered them a bit. Also, make sure the cover is "center" as there seems to be some play from left to right. After the adjustments, I took through car wash again. Still have a few drops of leak but much better. The cover removes very easily. I had to move a couch recently and was pleased I can remove the cover in a minute without tools. I also like the fact that there is no key. Your tailgate lock is the only lock to concern with. There are concerns whether this cover is like the Backflip and can be unlocked using a coat hanger. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks like a similar design. It also seem like a crowbar would rip it open anyway. Overall, it's a decent cover. I gave feedback to Agricover; they should widen the panel half to 1 inch on each side. That should solve the leaking issue. There is still a lot of improvements to make. I'm sure they would implement those improvements in updated versions. 11. I just installed a Lomax on my 2016 Denali. I will refrain from making any critical comments until I have used it a few more days. What I can say now is that it looks great.
  12. Questions for Fold a Cover users. - Can you open and close the tailgate without opening the cover? Looking at quite a few videos and none of them shows the tailgate being opened and closed with the cover fully closed. - Any issues with installation on a 2016 Denali with the factory bedliner? Thanks in advance for the help.
