How much was the panel?. Do you access the the r and r from the front? Or do you have to lay on your head?

I have recently acquired a 2017 Silverado, pretty base model. v8, 4x4, manual trans case. My question is, do all 2017's have alarms? My owners manual says it does but I cannot seem to set or activate it. Thanks for any thoughts.
