  1. The time has come to sell my truck to start a new build. I'm the original owner, truck is in excellent shape inside and out and has absolutely no issues. It's an LTZ with all the features besides sunroof. Built right and ready to be enjoyed by its new owner. Truck has never been wrecked, never abused, never used as a truck, only mark on the carfax is some hail damage a year or so ago but it was completely fixed by one of the best pdr guys in the midwest. No paint work whatsoever and no rust. Interior clean even the driver's seat as you can see in the pics and everything works on the truck. 51,300 miles (daily driver, will go up only about 5 miles a day) 5.3 with 6 speed trans King 3.0 remote reservoir front shocks King 2.5 remote reservoir rear shocks Cognito ball joint upper control arms (installed less than 1000 miles ago to replace uniball setup that had some wear) SDHQ front skidplate Method 17" wheels Toyo R/T 295/70R17 less than 1000 miles Matching Method/Toyo spare under bed AFE side exit exhaust Engine is all stock never tuned Range AFM module (not a tune) Catch can I have everything from when I bought it new including the window sticker and books as well as the second set of keys and remote. Truck needs nothing but someone to keep enjoying it. Asking $35,000 obo
  2. Who you callin skinny!?
  3. Still no rub with 295's and 0 offset here...I've been checking but don't see even a scuff on the carpet and I have worked the suspension somewhat on some rough country back roads. Don't even get a rub backing out of the driveway at full lock. I feel like these trucks must be slightly different truck to truck. I was extremely concerned about rub and I would be pissed if it rubbed even backing up at full lock but I'm very surprised I have none that I can see for now.
  4. I'm in method heaven here! Great looking trucks guys!
  5. Looks great! Methods are the way to go
  6. No spacers or drop. I'm ok with the cv angles but will keep an eye on it. I guess it would be the right time to install lower ball joints but the spindle doesn't have to come off to install any of this. I did the upper arms with the factory struts out then the kings slid right in after the arms were on.
  7. Nope just the upper is necessary unless you go full mid travel which pushes track width out in the front but that replaces both upper and lower arms. Angles still look great on the lower arm and the truck only has 3500 miles on it.
  8. Amazon. These are the ones I bought but it looks like they changed part numbers and price by a lot. Got them cheap at the time. https://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-13581558-Original-Equipment-Monitoring/dp/B00O9H0QIG/ref=au_as_r?_encoding=UTF8&Make=Chevrolet%7C47&Model=Silverado%201500%7C491&Year=2016%7C2016&ie=UTF8&n=15684181&newVehicle=1&s=automotive&vehicleId=1&vehicleType=automotive I'm sitting within a 1/4" on all four corners, tad over 40" ground to fender
  9. Thank you very much I'm so happy with how it turned out. No build thread...yet...guess I need to condense everything into a build thread but I'm pretty much done with it for a while.
  10. Thanks! That's next on the list actually. One more just because
  11. Got the truck all cleaned up today and took some driveway pics. I'll try to find the time to actually take it somewhere and get good pics but this will do for now. Skid plate pics as requested below. I also got my spare mounted under the bed in the factory location. Since the hub bore on the Methods is larger than the factory wheel I made a steel plate to slide over the hanger and support the whole hub. Lined the wheel side with adhesive backed uhmw film so it doesn't scratch the wheel. Skid plate pics. Sorry for the insanely long post!
  12. Sure thing. I waited to build it until I thought the weather was over and of course it snowed Monday. So it's now going to be 70 degrees Saturday so I'll wash it and get some good pics. The skid plate lip doesn't stick out, you are just seeing the thickness of the plate because it is straight and the bumper angles back. It fits to the same flat as the factory plastic and chrome piece. I'll get some pictures to show, it's a clean fit. I think Phoshzl posted a thread about the skid plate with some good pics and there's some good shots on SDHQ's website that shows it better. You could definitely get away with one of those brackets mounted to the skid! I love the look of the skid and I think you could position a front plate to still look good with it.
  13. Although not true off-roading I did get a chance to drive some country roads over the weekend. Hit up some dirt and gravel roads that are very rough and broken up and are usually 30mph and less. Blew through these things at speeds up over 50mph and the Kings soaked up absolutely everything like the road was freshly paved. These shocks have greatly exceeded my expectations by a mile. My wife was riding with and she was literally laughing in the passenger seat saying "this is crazy!" and she drives these roads often since it's out by her parents land. I second this. Purchased my methods and r/t's from my local 4wheelparts and had a great experience. I went back and had them do my alignment after I installed everything and they also did a great job on that. So I quoted my wheel and tire package a few places including the online guys a lot of people use and not only did 4wheelparts beat everyone's price, they are local so if any problems come up I'm dealing with actual people 15 min away.
  14. This is basically how the 3.0's came right out of the box. I ended up adding 1 full turn for CV axle to shock clearance (since the adjusters are on the bottom on the 3.0's) and the height turned out great. Instructions said something crazy like 2.5 or 3 turns = 1" ride height change so I didn't do much with my single turn.
  15. That's a bummer with the front plate. This thing fit absolutely perfect, SDHQ did a great job with this. I'm with you though, not sure it would look right with a front plate. Thanks! No regrets, 100% would spend the money again to do it just like this. The Kings ride like their price tag, worth every penny so far and I haven't even worked them yet.
  16. Thanks! I have not, just back and forth to work since installing and taking to the shop to verify my alignment. Have a couple finishing touches to get done over the weekend. They ride amazing though! A nice firm controlled ride that soaks up big bumps, driveway lips, and speed bumps like they are nothing. No more float and bounce like stock. I could literally drive over my driveway lip at 30mph with an open cup in the cup holder and not spill a thing. Crazy.
  17. Finally did it and couldn't wait so here's some dirty truck pictures. I'll clean her up this weekend and post some good ones. Method NV 17" 0 offset with 295/70/17 Toyo R/T King 3.0 front, 2.5 rear, both with compression adjusters Mazzulla upper control arms SDHQ skid plate with tow hook cutouts It's everything it's supposed to be and more. Couldn't be happier. Ride is fantastic. Also sits dead level within 1/4" all around and no rubbing, no trimming.
  18. Just FYI for those of you wanting methods and can't decide 17" or 18". Check out Graydon Motorsports on Instagram. He's running 18" methods with 34's and a confirmed no rub on King coilovers. Only reason I went 17" is I like the big tire look and wanted them flush with fenders.
  19. Oh hell yes! That's my setup right there. Now I just need a free weekend and some nice Kansas weather...it's killing me to have these kings and methods collecting dust!
  20. Black kit looks great! I haven't done anything for a drain yet. I've emptied it a few times now since installing and just use a water bottle cut in half. Last time I actually just folded the water bottle over and stuffed it down under the can and put the lid back on when I was done draining. Haven't felt a big need to add something to the drain yet but a piece of hose might make positioning the bottle easier. Would just need a hose barb for the valve, 1/4" npt if I remember correctly, and a piece of rubber hose.
  21. A click isn't the right way to describe it I guess. All I know is I was sure it was fully seated and turned until I felt it stop and flex the fill tube a bit. I don't think you can break anything gently tightening until you are sure it's seated. Maybe yours has a smaller o-ring? We will have to see what Joe says about the videos.
  22. Mine doesn't do that. All my play comes from the flimsy plastic fill neck. Did you tighten with a wrench? I had to use a wrench on mine and it had almost a "click" when fully seated. Definitely a positive feel when fully tightenend. Also I believe Joe mentioned it earlier but I think the tracks are two different sizes to fit the tabs inside the neck. Maybe it's on backwards? Mine only fit one way though, just throwing out ideas.
  23. Just checked mine and it's correct. 1.39" and change. Again, all my play is from the plastic tube like I said earlier but just wanted to confirm measurements...it's the engineer in me. Thanks for the info Joe!
  24. Sounds like you got it. Look at the pics of mine to show you how the CSS is supposed to go. They changed the routing and haven't updated instructions/pictures yet. I had to call and ask about mine when I was installing. The CSS does seem that way but it should be tight in the tube. On mine it seems to wobble around but it's actually just flex in the plastic tube. Hard to see with the plastic covers over the valve covers but if you look close the whole fill tube moves quite a bit which makes it seem the CSS is loose. No big deal, once connected the hose holds everything in place just fine.
