Did you have the hood painted locally or could you order a painted "line pull " from the factory?

XU , thanks for the number info. Mine went in to the dealer yesterday and was out by noon. They performed revision "D" of the trail of bulletons ( re-adjust lash , lock-tite , reprogram the SAS module) and it actually seems to have corrected the issue back to " like new " feel. I think that was a good hold-over till the new parts are more available. The jury is still out ,time will tell if it loosens up again as there's plenty of warranty time left.

Meanchevy1 Can you check your invoice and give me the GM part number or the " new " steering box? Thanks in advance.
