  1. Nothing is going to fix the shudder issue but a torque converter! I would have lost it on the dealership if I was you. It's simple, the bulletin explains it very clearly, many converters have been replaced due to this problem and I have yet to hear that it didn't fix the shudder. My dealership was doing 3 others the same week they replaced mine. It's not rocket science. Replace converter... Problem solved. They sound like a bunch of loons. I would definitely take it to another dealership.
  2. From what I've been told it has nothing to do wether it's 5.3 or 6.2. It's all the 8 speeds. Good luck.
  3. http://gm.oemdtc.com/6597/pip5337e-shake-or-shudder-on-acceleration-excessive-engine-rpm-fluctuation-between-30-and-65-mph-2015-2016-cadillac-chevrolet-gmc.. Print this off and take it with you. Tell them this is exactly your problems and obviously Gm knows it's a problem. If they say they must duplicate it tell them to put a tech in the truck and y'all will drive as long as it takes to duplicate. I had mine replaced at 700 miles and couldn't get it to shudder with the tech on our 15 minute ride but they still replaced my converter and done a flush and filter change. No problems since at 3k miles now.
  4. Google gm.oemdtc.com5337. That should pull it up.
  5. Is that the dodge and ford word or the damn and f**k word?? Lol. Both about the same to me.. I'm too damn hard headed and loyal to leave Chevrolet so they'll just have to fix it or I'll try another one. I do absolutely love the 6.2... Think is a beast.
  6. I have a 2017 with 8 speed with 700 miles and the trans has started its shudder/shake below 1500 rpms. Going back to the dealer Monday. I can't believe after all these problems for 2 years Gm is still putting this bad converter in 2017s??
  7. I agree on that, but that would definitely be hard on the rest of the parts! I'm kinda wishing I'd have bought a used one with the 6.2 and 6 speed auto. Then I could go ahead and have it tuned and lift it.
  8. Glad I haven't voided my warranty, since it has to have a new torque converter due to the transmission shudder /vibration. Of course with 680 miles I haven't really had time to do much! Lol. So far I'm not impressed with the 8 speed. They seem to have a laundry list of problems. I do love my 6.2 though.
