  1. I had very same problem finally discovered shocks were bad in rear replaced and noise has been gone
  2. I had a retrax it works good takes up front part of bed bad part get about 4 years out of cover and had to replace cover cracking . Not familiar with other
  3. If I thought i would lose 3-4 mpg then i would not do it . My plan was to raise the front end 1 1/2 -2 inches just because it scraps the center of roads in the mud , and I need more aggressive tires than stock , If I just put same size tire but more aggressive it would still scrap in ruts .
  4. Multiple questions 1. I would like to run 285/55/20 toyo AT2 tires 2 . What is minimum leveling kit would I have to use for clearance 3 . How much drop in fuel mileage should I expect ? 2017 Denali 6.2 liter 4 wd
  5. I have a 2017 denali pickup 4 wheel drive. I have trouble anytime i am in ruts that are just slightly deep with front spoiler rubbing . I am afraid i am going to knock it off. My question is what problem would i encounter by putting a front end lift to level truck and give more ground clearance? What would be the largest size tires on 20 inch rims could run without rubbing issues . I have been afraid to do any modifications to this truck because it so finicky. I had a 2010 denali allwheel drive before this truck and loved it no problems 150,000 miles I raised front end lost about 2mpgs . thanks
  6. I had my transmission flushed by non dealer , 60,000 miles 2012 gmc 5.3, as soon as it drove out the door started making awful noise and not shifting . long and short of it dealer and trans shop said by flushing system must have loosened something in trans and it got locked up in and required new trans or rebuild . I learned with these newer trans don't mess with them period .
  7. I spoke with my service manager today about the problem and he was familiar with it and said most of the time they can flush transmission ,replace filter and fill with full synthetic fluid and the problem goes away.
  8. 2017 6.2 Denali 14k Miles I have noticed that I get this vibration on highway. It seems to me it is like a shudder when engine is lugging like it needs a leer gear . I started leaving in manual position and every time it would start vibration I would done shift to 7 from 8. The vibration would go away , then shift back to 8 and it would shudder in cycles until either accelerated or or manually down shifted anyone have this problem I believe it is transmission
  9. it does disappear when warm
  10. I still have a 2010 denali pickup with the 6.2 140,000 miles not blue smoke on start up . But on cold mornings it has a knock in engine at first start up which i think is valves ? maybe . Has been at dealer for problem and they did a decarbonization of the engine and it didnt make any difference . Doesn't use any oil and runs great . Once it warms up about 20 secs knocking/clatter goes away . Dealer said GM said that is normal . Does anyone else have the same issue?
  11. mine is blue as in oil not black . What is DI ? direct injection ?
  12. 2017 GMC Denali 6.2 , after my truck sits for a few days and i start up i notice a small puff of blue smoke coming from tail pipe. My experience from other vehicles is that is usually an indication of oil seeping past valve seats. I have noticed that on other vehicles before ,but usually high mileage vehicles my truck only has 14K miles. Has anyone else noticed this or have and suggestions if that is normal for new engines or should I be concerned ?
