Vibration at 25 MPH slowing down
CrowndLegend replied to slickman's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Troubleshooting
I had the same problem when the gas tank was empty, fill the tank full and vibration goes away. I had the dealer replace rear shocks and that lasted 1000 miles, then put some kyb shocks on and it’s a huge difference. Next im gonna replace the front struts for I have a vibration in steering wheel which I suspect is the crappy front struts. Gm really cheaped out on suspension for these trucks. -

I have a flip kit and hanger set at 5 in the back. I had a reputable shop in Okc install a two piece driveshaft which fixed the shake vibe at highway speeds and the jump seat doesn’t shake anymore, but the steering wheel vibe is still present at 20mph. It’s funny it doesn’t do it all the time, so I don’t think it’s driveline related. I’ve had the tires balanced several times at different shops, just had an alignment done that helped a little bit. -
Rear end noise 2017 Silverado

Just like sippisierra said, cut 1 3/4 or 2 inch just measure the width of the spring and I think I cut mine 2 1/2 length wise. Place them in front and the back of the middle spring. While you have it jacked before applying the rubber, clean out all the old grease so dirt and stuff don’t stick to it. -

What exactly was the service bulletin they performed, I also have a vibration in steering wheel at low speeds. -
Higher than normal rpm
CrowndLegend replied to CrowndLegend's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Troubleshooting
Yes I put it in manual 5th gear then switched to 6th, I’m thinking it’s the torque converter not locking. -
I have a 5.3 6 speed trans and have noticed a slightly higher rpm while in 6th gear. Gas mileage is suffering also, I use to average 23-24 mpg cruising at 65-70 mph. My rpm in 6 gear use to be steady at 1200-1350 rpm now it’s up to 1750-1800, what would cause this a bad torque converter? Thanks trying to figure it out before I call the dealership.

I looked on djms website and they show a 6541 for the lowers and a 6124 for the uppers. I couldn’t find a moog part number K6015. -
Djm control arm ball joints

No nasty im going to take the 3 inch spacers off the struts and run them at factory height, replace the factory control arms with lowered 3 inch. I’m having issues with the factory bushings and ball joints currently. Figured it’d be better to replace with djm then put factory back on. -
Djm control arm ball joints
CrowndLegend replied to CrowndLegend's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Mods
Awesome man, I seen that wasn’t to sure if they were djm ball joints or moog. Def want to upgrade to moog. Thanks again. -
I have a 2015 silverado with 3 inch lowering strut spacers currently installed. I need to replace the ball joints and would like to install some djm 3 inch lowering control arms. My question is does anyone know part numbers for replacement moog upper and lower ball joints that would work with these arms? Thanks.

Brake torque specs
CrowndLegend replied to CrowndLegend's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Troubleshooting
Thank you 15HDriver for the front specs, greatly appreciated. -
I could only find rear brake caliper and bracket torque specs for a 2015 silverado crew cab. Are the torque specs the same for the front? Thanks.
