  2. OnStar vcim with Bluetooth

Thx, your help is greatly appreciated!. I found one who tested one in a 07 Silverado but the part number doesn't match the one you provided. If you had the link that would be great! Thx again.
  3. OnStar vcim with Bluetooth

Do you have a part number or know what VCIM I need to buy? I have a 2007 Chevy Silverado LT 5.3L (New Body) that has Onstar with steering wheel controls, overhead mic that does not have phone Bluetooth. I've been searching the net for a definitive answer before purchasing anything. I'd like to add phone Bluetooth to if possible that operates like a factory set-up. I'm wondering if all I need to do is switch the VCIM MODULE ?
  4. Thx for your reply. I've tried bluetooth and USB's that use the Aux port but I'm trying to keep it as factory with all options as I can. I was hoping if someone out there knew about the VCIM modules :/
  5. Has to be someone who knows all about this situation... anyone?
  6. Thx, I appreciate your reply. I thought I read somewhere that using Bluestar only uses the left channel for streaming music and played in mono? Not sure but I'm trying to keep all the options I can. Are there any factory VCIM modules that can be used? Also the factory modules are a lot cheaper. E-Bay has a ton of them but I need to make sure it will work and what module I need. E-Bay factory VCIM modules. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=gm+chevy+bluetooth+onstar+receiver+vcim+module&_blrs=spell_check

I'm wondering if all I need to do is switch the VCIM MODULE for a BLUETOOTH ONSTAR RECEIVER VCIM MODULE. If so is there a certain unit I need to look for? I'm willing to sacrifice Onstar (if needed) for Bluetooth. If this will work is there anything I might lose besides Onstar and will it operate like factory BT? I appreciate any help.
