  1. Not really, my first car, a 1950 Mercury had push button start, but to actuate the button you needed to turn the ignition on with a key. I remember my dad's 1948 Nash having the starter button under the clutch pedal. I think most cars adopted ignition keys sometime in the late 1930s. I think the first car to use the ignition key to actually start the engine was the 1949 Chrysler. My car, a Lexus ISF, has push button start. It's really very handy not having to pull the keys out of my pocket to unlock the doors and startup the car. Unlike my truck. Pull out the keys to activate the remote and then insert the key to start. Push button much more convenient. Lou
  2. You really have not shared enough information here. I'm assuming 1500 series? Also the Long Bed in the 1500 series is available only in the regular cab configuration. I'm assuming that you don't not have a regular cab since you have an LTZ and the regular cab is not available in the LTZ trim. Also I'm assuming that you have a crew cab since that is usually sold with the short 5.8" bed and the short bed is not available on the Double Cab models. The wheelbase with the Regular Cab, long box is 133". Wheelbase with the Crew Cab, short box is 143.5" (A big difference). Lou
  3. I put a new DCTMS steering wheel on it a couple of weeks ago! Luv it! Lou
