  1. Looking to sell my OEM take off Z71 fender badges and grill badge. These came off my 2025 Trail Boss with the dark essentials package. I wanted a bit of contrast, so I went with the red Z with black 71 aftermarket badges. As stated in the title, these were only on my truck for just under 1,200 miles. All are in like new condition. Of course, the adhesive on the fender badges will need to be replaced before mounting. I am also including the grill bracket that came with the after market grill badge in case you have a use for it. I was able to get my badge off using a pry tool (tabs still fully intact) and simply snapped the after market badge into the OEM bracket on the grill. Looking for $50 shipped. Paypal or Venmo.
  2. I think it looks great! Count me in on the chrome crowd. I did the same thing as you on my 2017 Z71. I also switched out my door handles, body trim and window trim. Added a chrome exhaust tip and bowties too. I'm very happy with the transformation as well. Enjoy your new look! Here's my before:
  3. I've really enjoyed browsing all these great looking trucks over the years. So many classic stock looks as well as creative and eye catching customizations. I think I'm ready to add mine as I finally got the last big item on my wish list, tires. This is my 2017, Z71, LT, double cab. Mods include 2" under strut level, custom LED bed lights, reverse reverse/unlock diode mod, LED footwell lighting, Westin Pro Traxx 4" oval steps, and I've swapped out my color matched parts (door handles, door trim, mirror caps) for chrome as well as swapped my black window trim for chrome. I added chrome grill inserts, grill and tailgate bowties and exhaust tip as well. (I just heard about half of you groan). I enjoy a little gleam on my ride and was going for an LTZ style exterior look. Finally, I added 275 70 R18 BFG KO 2's and I am really pleased with the results of all the efforts. Many of you here have helped me along the way (advise, trade partners, tech help, mod ideas), so I thank you.
  4. I know this thread is kind of slowing down with these trucks now being the "older" models but I figured I'd post an update as I have FINALLY gotten some new tires to complete my wishlist (see the header pic in my bio for a before look). I have a 2" spacer level in the front and am now running BFG AT KO 2 DT's - 275 70 R18. I know this has been covered as nauseam but, I have no rubbing what so ever. I am really pleased with this look and overall setup. As a side note, is anyone else running the DT model of this tire? I went back and forth on whether to go with the regular or DT (DT stands for different tread compound - for more durability in theory). Now for those not familiar, the DT tire gets a 50,000 warranty from BFG but loses the snowflake rating. I elected for the milage rather than the snowflake rating with the idea that I dealt with these midwest winters with my stockers (with three trucks) over the years; I have to think that the DT's will be better in the snow than stockers.
  5. Looks great! And for what it's worth, I'm "pro-chrome". Really good looking truck.
  6. Thought I'd chime in here. Nothing at all special, but this is my 2017, Z71 with a 2" Southern Truck under strut leveling kit and factory wheels and tires (265's on 18's). My ultimate goal is to get some 275 70's on it, but that will have to wait until I wear out the stockers. Leevon, the look you have achieved is my ultimate goal. That looks just right to me. Well done!
  7. Ummmmm....that was SUPER easy! Contorting myself to get under my dash far enough to see what I was doing was the most difficult part! Thanks again for the help everyone!
  8. Thanks for the input, guys! I'm hoping to give it a try tonight. I'll let you know how it goes.
  9. Great stuff, guys! I really appreciate it. xMEATxHAMMERx, I see you have another diode mod in effect. I know the reverse/cargo light mod is the brown to pink. What is the other diode for? Just curious. Thanks again guys! Keep the thoughts coming if you have them!
  10. Hey, Guys! I finally received my diodes and wanted to be sure I got the right ones. Again, being electrically challenged, I was afraid to try them out before knowing for sure they were the correct ones and wouldn't cause any damage. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CDCTZ8R/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  11. Checking back in here... Is the harness I'm looking for for my 2017 Silverado 1500 this? https://www.ebay.com/itm/GM-OEM-Pick-Up-Box-Wire-Harness-23327843/142846226214 Thanks for any help on this!
  12. Hey, all! Long time lurker, first time poster here. I've gotten a wealth of info here over the last several years! This topic, however I'm needing some clarification on. I have a 2017 Silverado Z71. I am looking to install under rail bed lights. I have purchased these already (Audew 60" LED strips). I am not at all "electrically inclined", so I am looking to do this in the simplest way possible. As several here have, I want to get the OEM harness and wire my lights to it and then simply plug and play. However, it sounds as if the plug has changed over the years and I want to be sure I get the correct one. So now for my questions: First, does anybody know the part number for the correct harness for my 2017? Second, can anyone tutor me through the wiring of my lights to that harness? Thanks in advance for any and all guidance on this. And for all the help this board has already given me! Jason
