Great info - have a similar question related to the GMT 800 series. We recently purchased an '02 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE extended cab as a tow vehicle for a 23' travel trailer - I'd like to retrofit RPO DPF power extend/retract mirrors, but can't seem to find any info as to whether this was an option in 2002. Do you know if this retrofit is doable, and if so, what's involved other than acquiring the mirrors and appropriate switch? I'm not concerned with having the mirror heat function work, but would like to have the other functions.
