  1. The one i have is definitely a bit different than the one rab356 has. Everything he mentioned his cant do, mine does, except for remembering the open window layout. It does have a rapid start that makes it start up at a fairly decent speed, and when the truck has been off for a few days it'll actually do a full startup instead. You can tell because it has the ANDROID logo when booting up and takes a bit longer to start. I can adjust the brightness of the screen with the little sun icon at the top left of the nav bar. I dont have any issues with my bluetooth or phone calls, but i'm also using Android. Apple likes to keep things within their own ecosystem and doesnt really fix issues between their own devices and windows, android, linux, or any other OS. The screen on mine gets plenty bright enough! Its surprisingly bright actually. I can see it fine with my sunglasses, as long as the brightness is all the way up. I did have an issue with mine minimizing apps and doing weird stuff, just until i found out it had its own google assistant/siri/alexa/whatever running. Once i uninstalled that, it started working nearly flawlessly. Currently it randomly crashes all open apps, i'm going to get ahold of Phoenix Automotive tomorrow, they have been really good and fast at resolving issues. I typically get this once or twice a week so its not bad, but it happens multiple times in a row. Today for instance, the first 10 minutes of my drive, it crashed maps and youtube music 3 times before it started working properly again. rab is right though, if you want something that just works out of the box, has and does everything you need without the need to tinker, you probably wont like the unit. However, if you like to customize and tinker, you'll like it. Probably wont love it, they are a bit slow, but you'll be happy with it, and if you are an Apple user, you'll probably get frustrated with it not playing well with your phone. This one is mine, my son is customizing the color of the lights around the buttons (and the buttons themselves). I'm currently researching new and more customizable launchers so i can do more. The current home screen barely lets you do anything, but its not an eye sore.
  2. Sorry to revive an old topic, but i too bought one of these 12.1" units, except mine is from Phoenix Automotive. I actually think they are all made by the same chinese company. You mentioned some issues that i also had, but figured them out. Auto on the A/C: You should be able to open your A/C controls on the screen and tap on Auto. There's no physical button, but the A/C controls on the screen itself should have an auto button. The maps issue is something i had as well, and i still have it. I think the issue is with the screen resolution. You should be able to open a second app and do split screen with them. If you do this, Maps will work correctly. Android Auto is not meant to run full screen, its meant to run in its little half window when you are viewing the factory UI. Since the unit is Android, you likely wont need to use it. Run maps on the top, and YouTube Music/Spotify/Whatever on the bottom, it works pretty well. Its a bit slow and takes a minute to get it going, but it works. I know its been almost 7 months and you've probably already got them figured out, but i wanted to make sure i had these solutions here for anyone else who has these issues. I dont know about you but i had to go turn my gain down for all of my inputs on mine. It was set to 30 and i could hear some static in the louder sounds that played in songs, reducing this to 28 fixed it. My left and right channels were also swapped, i had to flip a cable to get those going properly.
  3. Updated the stereo. Ended up getting the Phoenix Automotive 12.1" T style screen. It does have some issues and runs a bit slow, but i fully expected that. Below is a picture of my son tampering with the settings. I chose Phoenix because they had Android 9, its a little bit more future proof then Android 8, and the chip (from what i hear) is faster. So that faster chip helps take an already slow system and makes it faster. Its still fairly slow, but works well enough. I contacted some of the other manufacturer's and they pretty much all told me to try the other guys, they weren't all that nice either. Phoenix has been quite good with their customer service (so far). My first issue was distortion in the louder notes of music, i went to the settings and adjusted the gain for all inputs from 30 down to 28, that fixed it. Then i noticed the left channel was playing out of the right channel, and right played out of the left, so working with them they told me which wires to swap on which cable. I did that swap (nice and easy) and the channels are now correct. I had an issue where sometimes the screen would turn off when starting the truck and i wouldnt be able to turn it back on. They gave me a new firmware which semi-sorta fixed that, but its still happening. They gave me another firmware update after fixing all of my other issues (a couple weeks later) which i'm assuming is the same one they gave me last time, but we'll see, i havent installed it yet. I did find that before starting the truck, if the screen is on i can hit the button in the very top left corner and that'll turn off the screen, then when i start it, it turns back on and works perfectly. I'm ok with little glitches like that if it means i get to have android! Its super nice having it. I'm using Tasker to automatically turn on my hotspot once bluetooth connects to the stereo, then the stereo automatically connects to that hotspot and i can do maps, music, and anything else i want.
  4. Hey sorry for taking so incredibly long to respond! I never got my notification email that you said anything. What you said is correct, i purchased some vinyl tint that was precut to the size of my headlights, turn signals, and fog lights. I did also purchase them for my tail lights too but those lights have an indentation that totally killed my attempt to wrap them properly, so i just purchased new taillights that were already tinted. Since the tint was 20%, its only letting 20% of the light through. Each headlight is 2000 lumens so it was only letting through 400 lumens, so it was very dim. I decided to upgrade the bulbs to the Lasfit brand bulbs. Check this post here: Essentially, the stock bulbs are 2000 lumens, but i'm not sure if thats total or each. The Lasfit LED bulbs are 5000 lumens each, so with the 20% tint, the lasfit bulbs are shining through at 1000 lumens, which is either half the stock brightness of each bulb, or equal to the stock brightness. Either way, when driving with them i couldnt really tell the difference between stock bulbs with no tint, and lasfit bulbs with tint, however, i had already been driving with my added grill lights that are adding an additional 2700 lumens and lights the road up very nicely, so stock with no tint and lasfit with tint both seem very dim in comparison. There's been several times i've forgotten to turn on my additional lights and have driven around with the lasfit lights (with tint) and never thought it was too dim. I was going to remove the tint if i couldnt find better bulbs. Since i found better bulbs and have the added lights, im happy with the tint and the light output, so it stays! Let me know if you have any other questions, i'll do my best to answer!
  5. @TXGREEK, what tires are you using instead of the Ridge Grapplers?
  6. My truck doesn't fit in my garage, it's too long so I park it in the driveway which is where you see it in the last picture with the new tonneau cover and bed rails. I've got wheel spacers coming in for the back tires. The new knuckles from the lift pushed out the front wheels around 1.75 inches, so I purchased 1.75 inch wheel spacers for the back. Waiting on those to come in. I've purchased the tow mirrors from Boost Auto. I got the ones with the paintable mirror caps. They come in black, chrome, and paintable DIY. Each mirror has 2 caps, a large one for the top and a small one for the bottom. I just finished the last of the clear coat layers on one large and one small cap. On the other two, I accidently sprayed too much clear coat and it bled in a very strange way, almost looks like a fold that's going all the way across two sides of each. I need to wet sand those spots down, clean it off, than calm my ass down when spraying the clear coat back on so I don't do it again. I'm hoping to have them installed in the next few days, maybe even tomorrow. I'm in Oregon, in one of the areas that's been burning, but thankfully we finally got rain and a ton of it too! Tomorrow looks like we might not get any so I wanna get these on ASAP. After the mirrors, I'm likely going to replace the nerf bars. The ones I have are a chrome tube with black plastic steps. The driver side step broke today (GDI!!) so I think that's next.
  7. I've got the steel Stahl wheel spacers at 1.75 inches coming to help even out the wheels. I like the wheels so I won't be replacing them. However the tires will be replaced with Nitto Ridge Grapplers. They will be 35x12.5r20, but I'm working out how I'm gonna do this. My wife has a 2016 Jeep Wrangler, I might put these 33's on her Jeep and get the 35s for me.
  8. Truck is finally lifted with the Zone 6.5", upgraded the rear shocks to Fox 2.0, and added rear leafs to prevent sag when towing. The leaf's sorta gave me back some of the rake the truck used to have when stock, but not as bad. I'm ok with it, for now. I'm not sure how i managed to get both the front and back pictures blurry haha, i was in a rush. Here's looking down the front driver side to see how far the wheels are sticking out: And here's the rear, i didnt manage to get the image dead on where i wanted, but its still easy to tell that the rear is sucked in far too much. This is inside one of the front wheels, shows what they did with the cables and whatnot. And they forgot to install the skid plate, i went back later and they put it on: I also received my replacement parts for the tonneau cover, not sure if i mentioned that they were missing before? I ordered the RetraxONE MX from carid.com and there was some damage (mostly to packaging) and missing parts. I contacted Retrax instead of CarID and they replaced all the missing parts and so I got it installed. I also purchased the gloss black hex rails from Deezee and installed those. The nice thing is the rails went on top of the side rails for the tonneau cover which helps to hold them down. They felt very flimsy like if i was to get up in the back of the truck and put my hand on the tonneau cover rails, i might break it or rip it off, the bed rails clamping it down seems to do a great job holding it down.
  9. And they forgot to install the skid plate, i went back later and they put it on: Rear shocks were upgraded to Fox 2.0's, fronts are still the rancho shocks from the Z71 package. Will i notice much of a difference if i upgrade these too?
  10. Haha yes, i'll be taking pictures! I currently have the glossy Fuel Assault's on my truck, they sadly have a +1 offset. I'm considering selling these and getting something with a better negative offset. I knew nothing about what i was doing when i picked these haha but they do still look good. I bought 1.75" spacers from Custom Offsets for the rear wheels, they havent come in yet. My current tires are 33x12.5 r20 Toyo Open Country R/T's. They have around 70% tread left, so i think im going to try and sell these and move up to 35's. I'm wondering if i should stick with the Toyo's or move to the Nitto Grapplers? I want something that looks more aggressive than the Toyo's, but rides just as nice as the Toyo's.
  11. I wanted to get the McGaughy's, but the place im having do my lift said that they were over a month out because they had to be ordered and they wouldnt schedule me until it came in, so i went with the 6.5" Zone lift, with the upgraded fox shocks and leafs, because im too excited to wait haha. I do think the McGaughy's is better, but after scouring the internet, i've found nobody that has a legitimate reason for disliking either of the two lifts. My appointment is tomorrow, so i'll have pictures Wednesday or Thursday hopefully! Its gonna look amazing!
  12. 6.5" Zone Lift scheduled for 9/15, pickup 9/16.
  13. Yep they are 50 watt LED's, truck came with HID's. So far they are definitely worth the money! If these didnt work to resolve the issues I was having, i was going to remove the tint because for me, it was just too dark. There were too many situations where it was just too difficult to see, but with the Lasfit LED's, its not a problem at all! They are bright shining through 20% vinyl. I cant imagine how crazy bright they would be if i didnt have any Vinyl! I would think that anyone who buys these would surely need to make sure that their headlights are not going to blind anyone, and i wouldnt recommend them for anyone who has a truck lifted more than 3 inches unless the headlights are tinted because they are just soooo damn bright! All of these light upgrades i got from Lasfit are super bright! So in short, yes they are 50 watts, yes they are worth the money (and cheaper than the 35 watt HID's that arent as bright), and yes i plan on keeping the tint since these work so well! Time will tell though when it comes to the quality of these lights. They do contain 2 fans, one in the back of the bulb and one in the new cover. So there's more places where these can fail. I've scoured the internet and havent found any reviews of people having a bad time with these headlights though, so thats a very good sign!
  14. Thanks @kwOH I had no idea! The OEM handles feel so much sturdier. The aftermarket handle i bought felt like it was going to break every time i used it, and i always had to lift on the left side of it, the right side would never open the tailgate. With this one, its back to normal and looks great! I received my Borla ATAK exhaust and i've installed it. It went on very easily with only two issues. The first issue i had expected, and that was removing the stock exhaust. I ended up having to cut it twice (into 3 pieces) to get it removed. The second issue was the the first piece that connects to the CAT approaches at an angle towards the passenger door. The connector on the CAT also angles this way, so they dont go together perfectly, but their construction appears to be made for this so it hasn't caused any problems and clamped on without issues. This exhaust sound AMAZING! I got mine off of Amazon for $1024, everywhere else i looked they were $1195 so be sure to shop around! I saved $170 by doing that which has essentially paid the majority of the cost for my lights! Because its an exhaust, there's not much to show in pictures, but none-the-less, there's a couple things to see! Looking at the image below, the left half is the before and the right half is the after. I purchased the black polished tips since the exhausts turn black after awhile unless you clean them every few days or so, and i dont put that much work into my truck and the black looks better anyway! Its actually more of a gunmetal grey, its a very dark grey almost black, but they look great! When you look at the right side where i have my old polished chrome tip, you'll notice the Borla sits quite a bit closer to the wheel. Because of this, i can sometimes hear the ding when rocks hit it, with the stock location, that doesnt happen, but i've only heard this so far when driving on gravel roads. Nothing im going to worry about! It sounds incredible though, get one! I waited for night and installed my Lasfit lights. I have 4 bulbs i was unable to use due to swapping out the tail lights with Winjet LED taillights and not remembering that they cant be changed out. Before jumping into the pictures, i want to say that its hard to take pictures of lights. Cameras auto adjust their brightness, saturation, gain, exposure, and all sorts of other things to adjust for variances in the light to keep things visible and natural. You have to make some of your own assumptions when looking at pictures of lights to understand differences. For everything i've changed, i did a picture with one light installed and not the other so you can see difference. In some of them, you can look at things like the detail in the sidewalk on the floor that the light is allowing you to see. Without the light, its black. With a little light, you cant make out much at all, and with a lot of light, you can make out much more detail. You can use that trick to compare new vs old, or any other trick you might know of! Now lets jump into the pictures! First was the Lasfit backup lights. These are the white lights that go into your taillights. Stock tail lights have 3 bulbs in the back, one on top, one in the middle, and one on the bottom. This would be the middle bulb. In the picture, the left side is the Lasfit, right side is stock. You can definitely see the difference in the picture (check sidewalk details!), but in person the difference is much larger! These are VERY bright! And here's after i replaced them both: Next we move to the front and work on the amber lights: I have 20% smoke on these too, and in person you can definitely tell. The Lasfit lights bring the brightness back for sure, and i think its even brighter then it was before! Of course its hard to tell in the picture, but one thing i noticed (in person) was that when the lights were on, i couldnt really find any obvious light bouncing off the ground or the garage door or anything from the stock light with the tint, however, the upgraded light painted everything orange on that side of the truck! Its bright! Now the headlights. Pictures dont do any of these lights any justice, but they do the headlights the worst justice for some reason. Here's a comparison of stock lights with 20% tint on the right, with Lasfit LED's and 20% tint on the left The easiest thing to notice is how much smoother the spread of light is on the left side. I've done a lot of driving on stock headlights with no tint, and a bunch more on stock headlights with tint. On stock headlights with tint, its a bit rough to see thing but its still a fairly normal amount of light (more-so on older vehicles). After putting in the new lights, its sooo much brighter! I dont think its back to stock levels but its close. A lot of people will likely have an issue with how dim the lights are after putting tint on the headlights with stock bulbs, but after upgrading to these, nobody will have an issue with that brightness! The only issue i have is that the tint does change the color of the lights. I figured this might happen since before putting the tint on, i held it up in the light and it had a brownish look to it which translates to a yellowish look, but its not horrendous by any means! Polarity on these bulbs matters... I was unlucky enough to put every single entire bulb in backwards on the first try....... I wish there was a way to know which way they needed to go in, that would have helped a lot! I did upgrade the license plate lights too, but they were leftover bulbs that i used on my wife's Jeep, they are 6000k, cheap, but looks good! Next up, i got my Du-Ha and installed that: I was taking a couch to my brothers house and my exhaust (you can see the box on the left side) to my friends, he wanted to help install it. Either way, the picture above is of the underseat storage sitting on top. Here's a picture of it installed with the seats down There's a small gap, which i like, makes it easy to grab hold of the seat and lift it. This thing is solely for quick access to underseat storage on the driver side, not the passenger side. I have a car seat on the passenger side, and you can see most of the junk on the seat that was on the floor and under the seats before getting the storage, now its all in the storage, except for the windshield sun blocker thingy (wth is that called!?). I actually cant figure out where to put it now that i have the underseat storage, but if i keep it on the side over there, nobody can or will step on it so i'll probably keep it there. I rarely use it, maybe i'll toss it? Well, next up is the new tonneau cover and bed rails, and box 2 of 2, of the tonneau cover just arrived, so i'm gonna go throw that in right now!
  15. So as I mentioned last week, my tailgate handle broke (internally) and was not fixable, so i purchased a new one... Since im doing a lot of blacking out and removing some of the chrome trim, i decided that instead of buying an all chrome tailgate assembly, i went with the stock black look with the handle itself being chrome. Its so much more sturdy then the chrome handle i put on before! I've also received all the parts i needed to update my switches. Here's a before and after: And a better look at the after All of my Lasfit lights and my Du-Ha came in, gonna put those in here in awhile. I also received my Borla ATAK exhaust, going to put that in tomorrow.
  16. Eventually i'll get rid of the tint when i upgrade my headlights to something thats black inside. That'll get rid of my need to black out the headlights. Either way, glad they are still working well, cant wait to install mine and see how well it works!
  17. Im currently leveled with 33's and only getting 14... I think most people here drive mostly on highways, i take backroads and drive in the city. I'll probably be at 10 with a lift haha So since i tow, i'm thinking i'll need the leaf's which will put the end up higher. On a lot of these kits, it looks like the end is actually lower than the front so maybe it'll help even things out? Any idea how much higher the tail end will be? Also, everywhere i look, everyone is saying the Bilstein 5100's are the best shocks to get. Will they work with these kits or do i have to buy what they offer with the kits?
  18. Thanks for that! My boat and trailer i believe is about 3000lbs. If I went with McGaughy's, would that tow weight justify the need for traction bars or leafs? @Aboogie808, is this what you meant by tracking or were you referring to the leaf's?
  19. Thanks @fondupot, i meant to ask you how they are holding up for you. You dont by chance have your headlights tinted do you? If i'm doing the math right... Then the stock headlights are 2000 lumens total (1k per bulb). After applying the 20% tint to the headlights, that means they are now only 400 lumens. If I upgraded to the 35w HID's which are 3000 lumens without tint (1500 per bulb), then they would be 600 lumens with the tint, still not even half way to stock! Now with the Lasfit being 10,000 lumens total (5k per bulb), that would mean that while tinted, 2000 lumens would make it through (1k per bulb), which matches the stock lights without tint. Did i botch my math? If not, then the Lasfit's are going to be absolutely perfect (until a fan dies)!
  20. Going with the 50 watt LED's. I'll have pictures on my vehicle build page.
  21. Yesterday i made a few purchases Seat Covers - I actually went with the Clazzio leather seats. They have a ton of perforations to keep you cool, which has always been an issue for me with leather seats. Not enough perforations so they are always too hot. I really hope i didnt screw up here. Borla ATAK Exhaust Range AFM Disabler Underseat Storage - I did go with the Du-Ha brand. It cost a bit more but looks great i think. Tonneau Cover - I went with the RetraxONE MX. This will allow me to open and close the tonneau cover without having to touch the tailgate. This will help solve another issue i ran into with the last purchase i made: Tailgate Handle - I purchased the a black tailgate handle assembly with the chrome handle from ebay for $89. The tailgate handle i have now is all chrome and can be seen here: amazon.com/gp/product/B0746XTNGF If you take a look at the pictures, the second picture shows the back with all the components that actually turn and unlock the tailgate. Right in the middle of the black components is a round white piece with a screw in it. This piece broke at the very bottom and cannot be fixed. This also has a spring on it that pulls the lever back into its home position and keeps it there. Because it broke, i cant put that piece back on, so once the tailgate is closed and locked, if you try to open the handle it moves into a position that makes it impossible to open once unlocked, so i had to cut into my Tyger T3 Tonneau Cover. I've also decided to go with the Lasfit LED's. I have a thread on this here: https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/241049-2017-silvy-headlight-bulbs-replacement/ I went with the headlights, 3rd break lights, cargo lights, backup lights, and turn signal lights. I used the discount code that @fondupot had in his video here and saved a few bucks: He did an excellent job showing everything and even compared the stock 25w HID's to the upgraded 35w HID's as well as comparing them both to the Lasfit's. Go watch it and support his channel by following him! He's got a lot of good things going on over there. I'll have before and after pictures of these lights when i get them, as well as images of all the other parts installed.
  22. I've decided to go with the Lasfit LED's. From my research, it does appear that light from LED's does not travel as far as light from HID's, making HID's slightly more useful, however! The Lasfit LED's are much brigher than the 35w HID's that we can get, so being brighter, my assumption is that the light will travel further than the 35w HID's, or at the very least, just as far. In considering my options, there's a few other factors i've pondered in making my decision. This may not fit with others trucks, but i figure that if i'm driving in town where there's streetlights and other traffic, my headlights arent doing a whole heck of a lot anyway, so regardless of whether i use my current 25w HID's with 20% smoke vinyl wrap over the headlights, or 35w Morimoto's with the vinyl wrap, or Lasfit, its not going to make much of a difference. Where it actually matters (for me) is when im in areas without streetlights (which is pretty common where i live). I'll use my headlights, but if vision is getting tough, i added the 3 little light bars (like the special ops editions) in my grill. They are 900 lumens per light bar, so its 2700 lumens total which is more than the stock lights already. I also have a rough country bull bar with a 20 inch light bar that puts out 7200 lumens. Regardless of the distance of these lights, if im driving out somewhere and the light isn't reaching out far enough, i've got some other options at the flip of a switch that are currently so bright i cant tell the difference if my headlights are on or off (haha!). I'll add this though, one of our members @fondupot uploaded the perfect video to YouTube in April comparing the 25w stock HID's, vs 35w aftermarket HID's, vs the 50w Lasfit LED's, and the Lasfit's are much brighter! Check out his video below, and follow him! He's doing some great things! His video was the deciding factor for me.
  23. For me, price ruled out the BDS kit. I can easily rule it back in, but it does seem like its a more complete kit. Being new to lifting, im not sure if there's other things i need to add. I kinda see it 2 ways: As i add pieces that are needed for a good, safe, quality kit, other brands might come close to, match, or exceed the price of the BDS kit. I may find that i dont need all of the pieces of the BDS kit and can have a good, safe, quality kit for much less with other brands. I feel like #2 is going to be the way to go. I was looking on here a couple years ago and every time somebody talked about getting a lift, everyone went a bit nuts on all these other parts you'd need. It scared me off, but lately im not seeing that. I do have a boat i tow, and i do NOT want a rake! I'm actually thinking of maybe going with a 4 inch instead, not super sure yet. @Aboogie808, what does the traction bar do? With my boat, is that something you think i'd need at 4 or 6 inches? I did read yesterday about somebody feeling their back end slide when turning on the highway, i would definitely not want this. Is that what the traction bar solves? @dieselfan1, what exactly will the leafs do? From what i've read it sounds like it helps the stability. With bigger lifts, there's some side to side sway and that would resolve it. But does it do anything else? Is there a rake with the McGaughy's kit that the leaf's will eliminate as well? What made you choose McGaughy's and what made you decide against Zone? Both of your trucks look amazing! I currently have Fuel Assault 20x9's with 33x12.5 Open Country R/T's. I wish there was a way to do 4 inches now, then adjust it to 6 down the road when these tires wear and i get 35's. Kinda like how the McGaughy's are 7-9.
  24. Thats cheaper than the ones im looking at from Boost Auto. From what it looks like, the ones from Boost Auto arent going to auto fold when turning the truck on or off and wont work with the key fob because my truck doesnt already have the memory seat system which is apparently what controls that. If this is true, that means the stock Chevy tow mirrors also wont do these things. I'm still researching this though. I really want, at a minimum, for the mirrors to open when the truck is on and close when off. I could care less about the key fob, and i prefer the Boost Auto mirrors due to all the features it has and the look.
  25. I have a 2017 Silverado 1500 LT Z71 Double Cab 4WD. I'm currently running Fuel Assault 20x9 wheels with a +1 offset and 33x12.5 tires. I'm looking at lift kits and i have too many questions, so i'm the community here can help me get some answers. I'm looking to lift around 6 inches and have it narrowed down to 2 lift kits. I've put them below with my questions. I'm afraid of putting my family in danger by missing part or getting the wrong kit. I'm new to lifting, if you couldn't already tell! McGaughy's 7-9" GM Suspension Lift Kit. Item # 50781, typical cost i see is $1791, link: http://mcgaughys.com/products/7-premium-stainless-steel-lift-kit-for-2014-2016-gm-truck-1500-4wd-part-number-50781 Ok, questions for this one: Do i need the upper control arms? What happens if i dont get them? These are 7 to 9 inches. It appears that if i want to go with 9 i'll need a rear leaf for both sides. What would that do if i installed the leaf's while lifted in the 7" position? Would i end up with a rake? If so, any idea how much? Can i go and adjust these later from 7 inches to 9 if i wanted to go higher? Or go back down to 7 from 9 if i want to go lower? Is it a quick and easy adjustment? Are there any other parts that I would need to make this lift as safe as possible without stressing other components? I should also mention, i dont go off-roading at all... Every year I take my family camping multiple times and i do drive down some very rough paths, but im not hauling ass, and i live in Oregon, we do get some decent pot holes on the roads. Once installed, are the wheels lined up properly or will i need wheel spacers on the back? Zone 6.5" Suspension System, Item #ZONC25/ZONC26, cost starts at $1126, link: https://zoneoffroad.com/products/65-in-lift-kit-2014-2018-chevygmc-silveradosierra-1500-4wd This can come with a fender trim kit. What exactly does that do? Do i need to purchase upper control arms? What happens if i dont get them? Do i need rear leaf's for this? Once installed, are the wheels lined up properly or will i need wheel spacers? Are there any other parts i should be getting for this kit or does it come with everything? What makes this cheaper than the McGaughy's kit? I guess i should say that my goal is to do the lift properly. I hear a lot about parts that are stressed if you dont get them with your kit, that can break and will eventually (and soon) need to be replaced. I hear this is one of the biggest problems with the cheap kits, they dont come with these parts. You can do the lift, and it'll work fine, but you'll be replacing broken parts soon or have other issues (so i hear). I want to make sure i get all the necessary parts and do everything necessary so that my truck rides as nice as it can with a 6-7 inch lift without stressing and damaging the truck. Thanks in advance for any answers!
