Three of those five things are in the title and symptoms are in the description. But yes, other than that it’s a 5.3 engine. If there is another section this belongs to feel free to move it.

I did not change the fluid. Honestly I thought they had this issue addressed before my model year so I wasn’t real up on it until now. I called the dealer and they said they followed the tech line procedure to diagnose. I’ll get more details today as it should hopefully be ready to pick up.

I was hoping it was only a fluid issue and GM would cover based on all the issues regarding the 8 speed. I only drove two days after slippage and rumble strip sensation. Dealer was able to get me in the next day which is why I went that route.

There is a TSB out there to diagnose the severity of slippage to see if it’s fluid or TC. They did not specify if this was performed on the call back to me. I had both slipping and the rumble strip sensation going on.

As the title says I’m extremely disappointed with GM and this truck. I only have 72,000 miles on this truck and the torque converter started shuddering yesterday. I was praying it needed a fluid flush only, but the dealer said it needs a new converter at a price of $2,800 plus tax. WTF!!!?? This is unacceptable! I don’t even tow a camper or trailer! Within the last few days I started getting transmission shudder and was praying it needed a flush only. GM should be paying every cent for this train wreck of a transmission. I’m holding on to this thing until next year and then bye GM. Lost another customer for life.

I’ve been reaching out to Diablosport every 3 months or so to see if they’re getting close to having some tuning options. According to their rep they are in the final stages of emissions testing and will have some products available soon. Whether that’s 1month or 6months from now they didn’t say but hopefully we’re closer to an option under $1,000. I like my truck but the throttle response and the torque management at wot kills me. I feel like it’s better made and looking vehicle than my ram but it doesn’t hold a candle to it from a performance standpoint. I miss the power and responsiveness of the ram and just wish they could get it in the same ballpark. I shouldn’t need to go 3/4 throttle to downshift and find the right gear. I feel like there’s a potato stuck in the exhaust at wot.

I’m using this same loc but with a 2 ohm amp and sub. It works great but goes the amp goes into protect at any volume higher than half way. Any advice?

HP Tuners now has a modified ECU to purchase that will allow for tuning, but at $1,400 I’m not sure how many takers they will have. I’m doing the same for now but I don’t have unlimited data and a 54 mile per day commute round trip. Just seems silly not to include this on an LT trim standard. Btw the response I got back from GM customer service is they couldn’t speculate on this and I should contact Sirius XM. I mean either it’s upgradable or it isn’t. WTH?

Hello, Just seeing if GM clarified this topic and if an upgrade or system interface is available? I purchased an LT Trail Boss not even questioning if it had Sirius XM as I’ve had it on every vehicle I’ve owned the last 10 years. It’s standard on vehicles half the price let alone a $50k truck. What is GM thinking! It’s 2019 not 1999! I love the look of the truck, but between the awful throttle response and delayed transmission shifting, and inconveniences like this, I’m regretting switching from RAM.
