  1. When you're ready to buy, and you know what truck you want, go to CarCostCanada and get a free invoice report. Then use their worksheet to get your price. That's how I managed to get my price. After days of the salesman telling me there was "no more room" for further discounting, I texted him a photo of my CCC worksheet and basically said, "This is why I'm offering you this price. It's a fair offer." And he stopped jerking me around and came within a couple hundred dollars of my offer. ?
  2. ***CANADIAN PRICE*** Just picked up my 2019 Sierra 1500 Limited, 4WD, Double Cab, Elevation in Stone Blue Metallic (which costs an additional $495). MSRP: $52,082. I paid $42,490 before TT&L. (Manufacturer's rebate was $5750.) That's about 18.5% off sticker price. I'm not a Costco member, and I didn't qualify for any other rebates/incentives. This is with 0% financing too. (I realize the financing is just bundled into the truck price, but I just wanted to mention it since there will be no additional fees there.) Since I am located in Canada, I'm happy with that price. I think I could have managed to get another few hundred off, but after about 10 days of negotiating on two different models, I just wanted the deal done.
  3. Yes, they have the Elevation on Limited. ? Hmm... you feel that 25% off is too much for Canada? Do we get less of a discount here? I didn't realize that. ? (My comment about me being in Canada was just so people would understand the pricing.) So maybe start with 20% off MSRP? (That's around $9800 off total. So, around $4000 dealer discount.)
  4. Hi guys, I'm looking at the 2019 Sierra 1500 Limited, 4x4, Elevation Edition. MSRP is $49,292. Manufacturer's credit of $5750 total, brings the price to $43,542 (before TT&L). What do you think would be a reasonable price to offer first? Around $36,500? (That's an extra $7042 off after manufacturer credits. And about $12,800 (or 25%) less than sticker price.) Keep in mind that I am in Canada. And I don't qualify for the Costco pricing. The spreadsheet posted a few pages back is not working for me, unfortunately. I don't have Excel installed. (I tried a different program, but only the top portion of the spreadsheet worked.) So, any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! ?
  5. Yep, for sure. Like I said, it doesn't sound like a very good deal. (Don't even get me started on my trade. I never mentioned that in my original post because I haven't started negotiating on that yet, but his offer was absurd. ) The Costco offer expires on Sept 3, so signing up now won't help, unfortunately.
  6. Unfortunately, you need to have been a Costco member since July 2, 2019 or earlier.
  7. Hey guys, First of all, I am located in Canada. I'm working on a deal for a 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited, 4x4, Extended Cab, Std Bed, 5.3L V8. MSRP: $46,054 (plus $2500 in freight, handling fees, etc) which then totals $48,752. They are removing $1025 worth of dealer installed accessories, at my request. The salesman is giving me a price of $46,000 (including $2500 in freight, handling fees, etc. Not sure why he included that in the price, as it just makes it a little confusing.), minus $5750 GMC credit, for an adjusted price of $40,250 (before TTL). This is at 0% financing. He said if he discounts the truck anymore, it would have to be at a higher financing rate (which doesn't work for me, since I won't be paying off the balance immediately). Or he could get me the next trim up, and give me a bigger discount, BUT the final price/payments will be higher (which I don't want). Apparently, if I was a Costco member, I would get preferred pricing, which means around $3000 off. I asked them to give me that discount anyway, but they said they couldn't. What do you guys think? Looks like it's just under 15% off MSRP, but it just doesn't seem like the dealer discount is very high. I think they're trying to take advantage because I'm a woman. ? I got a much better deal on my civic (but it didn't have as much of a discount from the manufacturer).
