So it looks like the 2inch GM lift is not recommended if your vehicle is equipped with the rear “composite” leaf springs...however I believe my RST 3.0 Z71 came with steel leaf springs...but I am going to double check...but I have not had any issues with the lift at all drives very smooth! I did take the truck back due to sone clunking noise which resulted in the lower control arm being lose but that was a quick fix...

I have a 2020 RST Duramax with the Trail Boss Lift and the ReadyLift level kit...runs smooth! Im not sure about your tire question but it definitely runs smooth and no strain to front end components...

From my understanding, if you want to level the front end of a trail boss or any Silverado that has the GM 2inch Lift you cant just put some blocks or spacers to raise it. I mean you can but what you had happen will eventually happen again...according to several lift manufacturers their is just too much strain going on to the control arms, ball joints, cv boots etc... The "proper" way to level the front end of the Trail Boss or GM 2inch lift kit is by replacing the Upper Control Arms to one that is slightly more extended and curved to alleviate stress to the front end components...which is what I did. That's why I was so concerned about the "clunk" noise...I thought i did everything right but then it had me second guessing myself....turns out I did go the correct route and issue was with the tech that didn't properly secure my lower control arms after leveling my truck.

Dumb question here... How do I know if my leaf springs are composite or steel ones?

Picked it u from the dealer...they found that the lower control arm was loose which was causing the issue...they tightened everything and performed an alignment free of cost and its riding amazing once again! Thanks for everyone's reply! Here's some pics of my truck

Yes, I hope all and everything that needs to be replaced or tightened up should be covered under warranty. Fingers crossed because I heard stories of dealers going not wanting to cover lol...but this dealer seems good. Insert other media

Hello everyone, So when I bought my 2020 1500 RST crew cab 4wd duramax I had the dealer install the GM 2 inch lift. After about a month I had the same dealer install the ReadyLift Trail Boss 1.75” Level Kit which comes with upper control arms and some spacers...now at FULL TURN only Left or Right I’m getting this clunk noise coming from what it looks to be the half shaft(cv boot)??? Not sure...has anyone else had this issue? Im starting to think the dealer didnt install the NEW half shafts that came with the GM 2inch Lift kit maybe? And just ran the original ones?? Im not sure but ANY help would be appreciated...TIA!
