  1. I know I understand all that but it’s a good loan no pmi it’s conventional 2.89 locked in and 3.1 apr. im not trying to argue just saying we have covered all the bases she’s well off for being 20 and as u can see a lot of people here hate to see anyone so young and successful. must be envious... idk Most people pander to these multi billion dollar companies like Chevy. It’s kinda sad that instead of people posting success story’s they just say F off suck it up. But thanks for the info!
  2. When your 20 years old and make 90k+ With an assload of money saved from smart financial decisions... I think it’s is perfectly fine to buy a high class vehicle. But i guess you know best? Sounds like u might wanna job search with them instead of worrying about the car choice of someone who’s finances u don’t know anything about! But what do I know I’m just the idiot who helps Out my sister.
  3. Don’t believe everything you read on the internet. Pre approved for 220. she just closed a house at 174k at 2.89% it was better for her budget. These days it’s all about credit. Our parents also told us it would never work and that buying a house so young. But it goes to show if you plan ahead and invest wisely, anything can happen!
  4. Not to say gm is a bad vehicle. All We are more or less upset about is the stand behind your product service we are not getting. We actually talked to a guy with a. Colorado that got a new truck in a similar situation to ours. His was rebuilt and sold at discounted price. anyways!!!! Update! gm has returned our call! After a week lol. We were told not to let them take the engine apart (as the dealer wanted to do). And to fax over some copy’s of all the paperwork and service records. they agreed that the services that we have received are almost as “prompt” and “understanding” that we should have been given. We again expressed our displeasure with the current truck and will be in a conference call between both dealers and a gm senior advisor. (Whatever that means)
  5. Save every penny! Lol I actually helped her build her first truck. A 1986 Chevy dually. She sold for a little chunk and then wanted to buy a house. However she was only 18 and y’all know how hard it is with the credit situation. So she bought this truck and other items to build credit in hopes the quick pay off would bring it up. She’s a smart girl! But now that she’s ready for a house and interest rates are low.(with the covid) the trucks turning into a giant nightmare:(.
  6. We actually know the technician. We met a few times before. He’s a great tech. However if you ask a gm tech how they would feel if they bought a brand new truck and it needed a motor... the response is fairly similar to mine. It’s just wrong.
  7. I came here with a problem. Looking for answers. None have been found on here. I am now updating the form in hopes it shows people that it’s possible to get out of a vehicle that’s had issues. U might have a different opinion and that’s ok. However me personally. When someone is spending 50,60,70 thousand dollars on a vehicle. That vehicle should not have many issues. And a motor! The heart of a vehicle should not have to be replaced at 12 thousand miles...... plain and simple. And if a dealer or company doesn’t understand that a 20 year old spending that kinda money; has much more money to spend throughout the years. not to offer some kind of escape or relief? Then that company should lose that persons business? She bought a new car because it’s untouched brand new and should not have to use a warranty at 12 thousand miles. If she wanted junk With used parts she would have bought a used or a crashed vehicle... but that’s just our opinion. I wouldn’t buy an apple with a bite out of it. But some people are just extremely loyal. I’m not saying your wrong to be that way. However I also expect quality when it comes to that kinda money? Sorry if this particular forum upsets you.
  8. I can’t say I haven’t thought about moving to ford. It would suck. But I just about lost faith in gm
  9. Update* Took the truck to the dealer. They have been doing 500 mile consumption tests. after 2000 miles still no verdict has been reached. I decided To speak to a gm relations representative. He advised us to get a second opinion from another dealer. And upon speaking to two other dealers. We would have to redo the tests from scratch. however these dealers stated that over 2000 miles is excessive in This diagnosis process. today we will be taking the truck in for another consumption test and asking about possible resolutions in a more upfront and stern tone. I feel better after talking to multiple dealers and the gm rep. As they assured me that documenting our experience and issues would help in a buyback Or lemon law situation. issues so far- no rental coverage when truck needs warranty work. She is not 21 however she was allowed to test drive the 65,000 truck... but can not use the 20,000 cruise as a rental. Was also told they would not reimburse her for enterprise. Even though it’s stated in the lease that gm would. we were denied access to oil consumption records and work orders. They simply said we won’t give you those you do not need them finally the gm requirement for oil consumption in her specific truck is 2000 miles at 500 intervals. No more then 1 quart (.95) to be exact. This dealership not only told us 1500 miles but then extended it and said they want to do another 1500 to 3000. (this is unnecessary as I have checked the dipstick before we go in and it has most definitely lost more than 1 quart in the 2000 miles we have taken it in.) i Was advised to continue with the dealers requests and to open a claim against the dealer through the representative to start negotiating on a potential buy back of the vehicle. with any luck we might only lose 1-3 thousand dollars (including the Borla exhaust and wrap) in a buy back scenario or possible trade in for a reduced price on another vehicle. I’ll keep you all updated.
  10. They are running the test. And it’s still losing oil. I kinda hope that they hear us out and transfer vehicles. To me having a replaced engine in a brand new truck is basically not a new truck. It’s like buying a headache.
  11. Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone has had issues with the 6.2? My sister 2019 of 6 months and 12,000 miles drinks oil! 20oz every 500 miles... she is only 19 so they won’t give her a rental when she takes it in for service either and it’s absolutely Ridiculous that she spent all this money on an ltz but they do nothing for her! I came here in hopes that someone knows of an issue with 6.2’s? also if anyone knows how we could ask gm to put us in a different vehicle? That would very helpful! This is the second vehicle from Chevy that has had motor issues off the line! The first was a 2015 Malibu that’s now on the 4th engine at only 80k..... we honestly just don’t want to have a brand new truck with a used engine at only 12 k... that’s a little absurd don’t you think?
