  1. First off, Thanks and that's great news. Getting any info from a local dealer is nearly impossible OK, now I have a seemingly stupid question (at least to me it sounds stupid) - What switch controls the heated upper glass? I didn't think mine has the heated option. That was where my main concern/question comes in with the 23372182.
  2. FG514434 Funny how when I go to any of the GM official sites and enter my VIN that the mirrors that are currently on my truck don't even show as an option but they pop right up when I call a dealer.
  3. Thanks, I will check them out.
  4. My truck came with towing mirrors but I recently smacked one and need to replace (cracked housing). I called a local dealer and they gave me the part number based off of the VIN, 84691670, GREAT! Dealer wants $650 for ONE mirror (not heated, not auto fold) way to much. So, I go to GM Parts Direct, enter VIN, and they don't even list my mirror. None of the GM sites list it by VIN. Direct search part number and it shows up. Go to dealer's site, put in make/model/year and get part 23372182. Similar, but not the same. However, the set of TWO list at $750. This same mirror comes up on the GM Parts sites as well with make/model/year (cheaper) and only $80 more than my part and I get a set, but says a new harness is required. This set is at least heated (which is not) and I'm figuring the new harness is what's taking this into consideration. So, the question is, does anyone know if this is actually a replacement? I'm kind of thinking that in true corporate America fashion, they decided to make a newer mirror backwards compatible with a different harness and save on making the older mirror?
  5. When it comes to "fog" lights, many of the articles out there have the mindset of "if you mount the lights low, they're fog lights. If you mount them higher up, they're driving lights". True fog lights adhere to a standard known as J583. I installed a set of the Rigid J583 LED, NOT cheap but so worth the money. Last year we were driving through TN mountains and the fog was like soup. Many had their fog lights on and all I kept hearing from the wife was "thank you for getting these lights". Great visibility forward and way to the sides of the road outshining everyone with no bounce back of the light and nobody flashing from oncoming traffic for being a distraction.
  6. I'm going through a 4"BDS lift starting Monday and found ourselves (it's awesome when I show my wife several choices and she picks my #1) leaning towards Fuel as well. Originally was thinking of black but started liking the Gunmetal (they just renamed the color to Anthracite). My theory was - it came with silver/aluminum so the look should flow, and decided on the Fuel D665 Shok. I was holding off on the big price as well. Unfortunately, I need tires. Plus with the Road Armor front bumper, the front end needs to be beefed up a bit anyways. So, may as well go all in.
  7. Looks like I'm a couple years late to this topic as well. I'm really enjoying seeing some of these setups. I have a 2015 Sierra with a Road Armor Pre-runner front bumper (some nice gentleman I never met before bought this for me a couple months after getting the truck in 2018). I installed Rigid J583 LED fog lights that are, according to my wife, well worth the $200, KC Hi-Lights driving lights, and upgraded the headlights to Diode Dynamics along with their reverse lights. New 4" BDS lift with Fuel 18x9 Shok 664, and 33x12.5 BFG ATs going on in a 1.5 weeks. Will post pics when done.
  8. I just changed out the battery on my '15 Sierra about 3 months ago for the same reason. I installed the Interstate MTX-94R H7. Living in a cold climate area, I opted for a few more cold cranking amps (850). I got a good deal at Costco, but afterwards I had read somewhere that they allegedly get the batteries that have been sitting for a while (not sure of truth behind that). The videos that show how change it out and what needs to removed are pretty spot on.
  9. Hello all, It appears that the last time this stupidity was addressed was in 2018. Regarding the "WARNING Taking your eyes off the road too .....Focus your attention to driving". Although I had gotten used to this mindset of sheer stupidity and now just hit "OK", a new issue has arisen with this. When I turn the ignition, this comes on and hitting "OK" does not make it go away. I need to remove the key to get to the display. At this point, I can use all the display, radio functions, calibrate screen, etc. Turn the ignition again, and there's the warning. They make the vehicle so that you MUST take your eyes off the road to use 80% of the features, then they flash a warning while your driving that basically says "WARNING DON'T LOOK AT ME". Any suggestions other than to go buy something from the mid 70's or earlier ?
