  1. I had the same issue on my 2019 Chevy Colorado and now my 2020 Sierra. Once I put the radio system on remote updates and the vehicle updated all was good.
  2. I have a 2020 GMC Sierra with a 6.2L. It has a total of 5900 km or 3670 miles. About 950 miles ago noticed that the idle was getting rough and when I would use the remote start in the morning after it sat overnight it puffed blue smoke out of the exhaust. It disappeared after about 10 seconds. Turns out that at lease 1 valve guide was not sealing properly. The dealer is changing all the seals on both heads and I am going to ask that the spark plug(s) also be changed since I believe they are dirty from the burning oil. Has anyone experienced this?
  3. You better upgrade your brakes as well fellas that a lot of weight to stop suddenly if you have to. Even though the brakes are good on the heavy trucks you may warp your discs if they get to hot during high speed stops.
  4. Now that gas is cheap I run 94 octane in Canada. I was using 91 and 89 octane in my 6.2L Sierra. I didnt notice any change.
  5. I have a 2020 GMC Sierra with the 6.2L and its also been idling rough. I notice it after the dreaded auto stop feature starts the engine. Not sure what is the issue but I can tell its rough. I have about 5.900 km on the truck and it started to run rough at idle about 1500km's ago. At that time I also noticed that when starting it up after it has been sitting overnight I get a puff of blue smoke when I remote start it. I figured it was the valve guides but hoped it wasn't the piston rings as a worst case scenario. When I took it into the dealer they diagnosed it was bad valve guides. I am waiting for the new guides to be shipped in from the US which could take a month because of the pandemic. Having said that, the problem could be fouled spark plug because of the oil burning off after I do a cold start. Use the remote start and stand behind the truck when it starts up and see if you get the blue smoke when you do a cold start in the morning. The dealer without hesitation said they would replace all the guides on both heads just to be safe. If you are having a similar problem and the dealer tells you its your valve guides make sure you get all of the guides changed not just the one or two that are leaking. I am also going to have the spark plug changes in the cylinder that is the issue. Good luck ST
  6. Hi everyone, Not sure if this has been answered. I am new to this forum and went from a 2019 Chevy Colorado from hell to a 2020 GMC Sierra Denali in March 2020. I had the same issue with my Colorado and it also occurs with my 2020 GMC Sierra. Here is the fix that corrected my issue. on the Iphone 1. go to setting 2. click sound and Haptics 3. Make sure the tab "Change with Bottons" is off (not green) 4. Set your ringer volume to the level you would like to hear it at. 5. this disables the side volume buttons but things should work now. Before this I would set my ringer to a mid range level. Once my bluethooth connected I could see the volume drop. When I disconnected from bluetooth is remained silent until I used the side bottoms to increase the volume. Now I have my volume preset and yes the phone volume goes down when connected to bluetooth but raises again when to my set volume level when I disconnect from bluetooth. Hope this helps. ST
