  1. The link didn’t work. But yes I understand that it is set up to be able to take tge maximum load it is rated for and also try to be comfortable as possible when empty. But I’ll still call it junk when the shock fails at 6000km (warrenty replaced them) and now again at 23000km. The heaviest that I had in the truck was a skidoo at 700 pounds. At least with my old ford woth the fx4 package I wasn’t fighting to stay on the road after every bump in the road.
  2. I have the x31 package. And the rancho shocks that come with it are not worth it and definitely don’t qualify as an upgrade. Replaced under warrenty at 6000km and they are gone again at 20000km. (They were only smooth the first 500km) Has anyone here replaced their suspension to the icon vehicle dynamics brand of suspension/shocks. Are the worth the $$$?
  3. X31 or z71 or at4 /trail boss comes with the “upgraded” rancho shocks. They are junk. It seems like the rebound is set way to high to give the truck a firm ride and off-road shock feel, pair that with cheap seals and valves/internal parts , you end up with the rough ride your getting. Gm needs to start putting a better premium shock. before someone ends up in a bad accident because of the ass of the truck can’t stay planted to ground. You can’t even drive on a gravel road.
  4. Rancho shocks are to blame. They apparently aren’t what they used to be. Wish gm would stop selling these as an upgrade. We went through a set of rear shocks at 6000km and was replaced under warranty but now at 23000km they are failing again. It seems that rebound is way to high to make them feel like a stiff off-road shock and end up blowing a seal.
