  1. Hello, I’d like to hear others opinions on this. So about 2 months ago I purchased a new 2020 Sierra 1500 with the 3.0 duramax. The day I got home, I gave it a wash and noticed issues instantly. I took pictures the same day with the dates on each picture to ensure that they were the day I took delivery. Issues include: 1) all four doors are misaligned, the two front doors stick out past the body lines and I can see it terribly when looking out my mirrors. Rear door gaps go from large at the top, to hair thin at the bottom, almost looks like it may hit the cab it’s so close. 2).The front fender has a paint blemish within the paint, some kind of particles. 3) the driver side door and driver side rear door have weird paint marks and lines, almost as if it could have been repainted at the factory? 4) it was already in the shop for a transmission issue which may have been resolved. 5) It was in the shop once for not starting, went into engine power reduced mode and wouldn’t restart for an hour, then started and had check engine light on. Dealer couldn’t diagnose, and now a month later it did the same thing and left me in a parking lot in middle of the night, and now I’m afraid it just won’t start when I need it to be reliable. all of these issues have been encountered within the past 2 months/3k miles. I already am speaking with a rep from GM with an open case (getting a response is terribly difficult), and the dealer basically said there is no way the doors can be fixed and if they tried to adjust it, then other issues would arise. I took it to the dealer I bought it from, they basically refused to do any body adjustments, and a local dealer tried to adjust and barely made a difference as well. So this is 2 repair attempts just on that part, I took it to a local body shop on my own and they gave me an opinion as well, they said they could attempt but no way it would get to how it should. 3 opinions, basically no resolution, but with lemon law I assume I would need a third attempt? do I have the right to get a buyback with this kind of situation? It’s a $55,000 truck, it is a lease, but I don’t want to keep paying for a truck that makes me want to turn my head in disappointment every time I look at it. GMC is “built for quality” when I should of just stuck with the cheaper Silverado.
  2. Hello, About a month ago I went to start my 2020 Sierra with the 3.0 duramax and it would try to start, immediately stop and then say Engine power reduced. It would proceed to not let me start it for about 30 minutes and then it finally started in which the check engine light was on. I drove it to the dealer immediately and they said they couldn’t find any issues besides a code stating it was jump started, and I never jump started it before. It was fine for about a month until today, where I went to start it and it did the same exact thing. I had to end up just leaving it, making myself late for work and now it’s just in a parking lot sitting. Has anyone experienced this before, or seen other threads with “Engine Power Reduced” for no apparent reason? It has all the fluids, plenty of DEF, etc? It only has 3k miles, it’s 2 months old, and already done it twice. I can’t keep having this truck keep me stranded, late for work, and just unreliable.
  3. Hello! I’ve had growing concerns over an issue while in reverse. Occasionally when I go into reverse, generally it’s when I first start the truck up, I’ll start in reverse and it will act like the rear wheels are locking up or something is causing a weird jolt, which happens two or three times then it stops. Has anyone experienced issues with this or know of any resolution? also, I just got this truck and it has terrible body alignment gaps, the doors are all off and both front doors stick out, almost like they don’t close completely. If you look from the rear of the truck to the front along the side, you can clearly see the door sticks out. Has anyone seen issues with body alignment gaps and do you know if dealers can fix this? I’ve already had numerous issues with this truck and it’s only been a month.
  4. Hello, I just recently purchased a 2020 Sierra 1500 Elevation package with the double cab. After having it home for a few days I noticed that this truck almost looks like it was just pieced together and not even inspected coming off the line (it was produced in July so could be related to covid) but the doors are off and almost look like they don’t close tightly, the bumper is off and the bed seems misaligned which may be normal. Has anyone experienced a warranty claim with body gap issues? It’s not even 2 weeks old. I showed the tech and he said he is going to get with his manager to try to start a warranty claim. Is this something that will be fixed? Can I demand it? Or am I
