  1. Maybe you just have the light bar itself, installed backwards. It’s pretty common. The connections for the bar are usually on the left, driver’s side of the truck as you look from the rear. That doesn’t exclude that you can’t swap the harness around. Good luck.
  2. If we’re talking about the Putco harness, then you don’t have to worry about the 7 pin connector, or tapping into anything else other than where it’s supposed to go. And that is on each side of the truck, where the connector for the tail lights is. Then the harness has a dedicated connector for the backup lights that goes to the wire in the light bar. Simple, really
  3. The harness does come with two pages of very clear instructions. You should have no trouble at all following them. As I said, it would make your life easier to take the gate off, but if you struggle a little bit I guess it could be done with the gate on. Make sure you clean the surface really good for proper adherence. Good luck. I’m here to help any which way I can.
  4. The reason is, it helps with the alignment of the light bar. Up, down and left, right. It would be too awkward to try to reach under the gate. That’s all.
  5. Easiest way to go is to buy this Putco harness we’re talking about from Amazon and you’ll be done in no time. Honest opinion. It takes care of all your concerns click and done.
  6. Yes sir! It works just as it should. Putco harness plugs in between your connectors for each side driver and passenger and the backup wire from your Redline has a socket dedicated on the harness as well. The biggest inconvenience I had was to take the gate off the truck. You’ll have to remove the big socket underneath for the power lift gate and camera, sensors etc. Good luck. Ask for more info if needed
  7. I have the Redline light bar with the Putco harness. I also purchased the Redline module originally, but it didn’t work with their recommended setup. Neither did their Curt harness. The reason I picked Redline light bar was the sequential amber turn signal and obviously the lower price. Everything from Amazon Putco 529005 Blade Quick Connect. 19 Silverado High Country 6.2 L V8 gas.
  8. Thank you sir. I bought the harness you recommended and now it all indeed works! You saved me a lot of grief. Now I’m happy! Thanks a million!
  9. Hello guys. I’m new here. This topic is the reason I joined. I purchased the Redline tailgate led to install on my 19 Silverado High Country and I gotta tell you, it doesn’t work. I bought all the adaptors, all their modules, everything you can think of. I tried all the suggested versions of mounting this. Still nothing. I took the truck in to the dealership thinking is something wrong with it. Not that. The electrician there tried it on an earlier year truck and it works perfectly. He explained to me that the new trucks with all led lighting are different. Not even the module from Redline that’s supposed to fix the problem on new trucks doesn’t work. I’m about $160 into it and all I got is a bunch of parts. Any ideas?
