  1. I got the same message last week at 95°+ out. I’m told it’s a problem with the Gear Shift Control Module. I’m at 58k on a ‘23 Sierra Denali with the console shifter. The part is on ‘backorder with no release date’ and it’s an $1100 repair.
  2. I don't use it at all but my wife is logged into it constantly on her laptop while working. I'm streaming from my phone 100% of the time when I'm driving but you can't be logged into the truck and on ApplePlay at the same time.
  3. I've been putting the Michelins on my truck since 2003. I couldn't wait for the stock Bridgestones to wear out - they are garbage in the wet.
  4. I am also somewhat disappointed in the Bose system in my '23. It doesn't sound as good as the Bose in my '14 did. That being said, I didn't buy the truck because of the stereo. A stereo is important to me, but I'm buying a truck with a stereo, not a stereo that happens to have an attached truck. I may get around to upgrading speakers at some point, but as of now, it's good enough - just not awesome.
  5. My '14 with a 6-speed (6.2) consistently ran around 200°F when not towing and would move up to maybe 210° towing. My 2023 with the 10-speed (also 6.2) runs in the mid-140° range and when towing I've seen 170°s - this is independent of ambient temperature. Even 200°F is a non-issue for transmission temperature. My transmission guy told me to start thinking about it if I hit around 230°F and up.
  6. 185k on my 2014 - always with Premium fuel. 16k on my '23 in the last 6 months - always Premium as well.
  7. Your Crutchfield cart doesn't show with the link - mine does.
  8. Some do, some don't. That indicates a problem in the system, right?
  9. Mine definitely drops in gear - the last time it happened, I was going about 80 when I put my glasses in that cubby, then got flagged down for my gate being open and cooler sliding out. That's when it all dawned on me what was going on.
  10. It definitely drops - I think it is very odd that it does. On my '14, you couldn't even turn on the cargo light while it was in gear to check your cargo at night. On the '23, you can just drop the gate, throttle down and dump your cargo without even stopping.
  11. '23 Sierra Denali with MultiPro gate - on several occasions while driving, I found out that my tailgate has gone down without my knowledge. One time, just when I parked and walked around the truck, once when I went to back up and the camera showed the license plate and not behind me and I was flagged down by a guy on the highway who was motioning at the rear of the truck. I pulled over to find the tailgate down and my full cooler had partially slid onto the tailgate. What I believe is happening is a quick, inadvertent press of the Tailgate Release Button on the center console. The third time, when I got flagged down, it dawned on me that I had just put my sunglasses case in that cubby. I feel this needs some sort of update - I don't know if this can be a software thing or not? Why would a quick touch of that toggle button while I'm going 80 mph down the highway drop the gate? Why would there be no indicator of it happening - a dash light, a chime, nothing? Why would this happen in gear at all? I know you guys aren't the ones who would fix this, but has anyone else experienced this? I saw on another forum that multiple people have had this issue. Possible fixes include disabling the button unless in Park or while moving, requiring holding the button for 3 seconds, or maybe a double-press? If I lose a bag of tools or a cooler loaded down with icy beverages, not only is that $$$ from me but what if whatever falls out then hits another vehicle behind me or is struck by them while my stuff lies in the middle of the road? I'm not sure what can be done with over-the-air updates, but surely someone else has experienced this. Maybe GM is monitoring here (fingers crossed).
  12. Does anyone know what cellular network that OnStar WiFi uses?
  13. I had the Corsa on my '14 Denali and bought another for my '23. It sounds great. I think it's slightly quieter in the cab due to the rear exit vs the right side exit on the '14 and I also don't think you hear it as much because the 6-speed '14 always wound out the gears higher than the '10-speed does in the '23 in normal driving. Definitely not too loud and still ZERO drone.
  14. I see that you already have it handled - good deal.
  15. '23 Denali with the Standard Bed - I ordered it. I couldn't find a matching Std bed anywhere within 500 miles and the short bed was a deal-breaker for me. This bed size works well for me and the short wouldn't work pretty often. This fits in both of my garages with room to drop the tailgate and walk around it - I've never wished for a shorter truck. My '14 was a standard, too. The prep guy went to the General Manager at the dealer to ask if he knew they had received a standard bed. Apparently, they don't get many of them in 1500s.
