ooh, Thanks...hadn't thought of that, it is likely getting wet from sprinklers, but is not making the noise until I turn left of driveway (maybe 20 feet later)....would make the noise immediately if it was pads to disk (I think).

Having a new issue…after I stop for any length of time (not a stop light, but park)…I get a kinda clunk from the front end, took it to dealer they looked at it and said all was fine, but didn’t find/fix anything - it is still there, If I didn’t know better I would have thought it sounded like a brake caliper releasing…but truck is only two years old and I live in Texas (virtually no rust? Thoughts?

anyone try it yet...I am wondering if it fits under the GM cap (I would have to open to fill it), want to make sure the Ton cover will settle down over it?

mine was good out of the box.

I have the one from GM (was installed before I bought), has been great - does allow a little water in corners in car wash, but that is it. it is pretty stiff and I have stood on it, but not near as sturdy as the Avalanche factory one was....I have had to remove it when hauly my cruiser (have short box, needed whole bed)...it was easy to take off and put back on.

I sold a 2008 Avalanche with almost zero paint issues after 160k miles, have rock chips (not even rocks, it is bugs I believe...vehicle has never seen a dirt road) almost immediately....and getting bad at 20k miles...running exactly same roads that the 160k the avalanche did....also, seems to scratch very easy.

Yes, it is very bad...it seems to be much thinner and more brittle than my previous GM's...it stone chips and scratches way to easy.

add me to the list of a previous owner who's paint on my 2020 Silverado is crap, I had a 2008 with over 160k miles with less chips on the front than this one had at 10,000 miles.....and it is a complete pavement princess...

I should have used a PPF guy....but didn't envision I would have to until it was already a mess...

anyone else struggling with "stone chips" (actually bug chips, it has never been off of the 4 lane highway...)? from 2 thousand miles to now 17 thousand miles it has really need showing more and more chips on hood and grill area....I have 10 times more now than I had on the truck I traded with 180k miles (2008 Avalanche)? it is a 2020 Silverado RST...

a couple days of driving, was worth every penny (about 190 bucks for 2 back shocks), am going to look at front now.

I did not flash, just unhooked battery for a reset. I have the K&N.

Thanks for clarity - I would argue that outside of where you installed the guard would still be the warrantors responsibility, they might try to bully you a bit, but stand your ground....I believe it would be pretty hard for them to show they are not liable where you have not added any aftermarket...

how can this void your warranty? I see that often on here, is GM trying not to cover things that have nothing to do with this? or are you just saying for the paint you covered?
