  1. We had a steady rain overnight, but it dried out a good bit by this afternoon so these pictures aren't that great at highlighting the amount of water that has gotten inside the bed. 1) Picture 1: This is the primary entry point for the water. The cover does not sit flush with the driver-side of the tailgate. This part of the cover is elevated by maybe a centimeter or two compared to the passenger-side. Look at pictures 3 and 4 for comparison of the driver and passenger sides of the tailgate. 2) Picture 2: Where the truck cover folds, there is a slow drip where my finger is pointing. Nothing looks out of sorts at this area of the truck cover, but water is dripping in due to some sort of weakness. 3) Picture 3: While it may be hard to tell, the driver-side portion of the cover and the tailgate have some spacing. I took the tonneau cover rail off and put it back on and it looks like it is installed correctly, but the driver-side of the cover is elevated by a few centimeters over the tailgate. I did eyeball the tailgate, and the driver-side actually looks slightly lower than the multi-pro part of the tailgate when compared to the passenger-side. If that is truly the case, then it may not be a cover issue but more of a tailgate issue. 4) Picture 4: While you may not be able to tell, the tonneau cover and the tailgate are more flush on the passenger-side and water is not getting inside the bed. When they took the first cover off and pulled out the rivets, the rail cap does have an elevated area at the site of the hole. While the tonneau rails do not appear to be uneven as a result, I can't help but think the auto shop's screw-up is impacting this new cover. This is probably no help to any of y'all at the moment, so I may take the darn thing off again and take pictures of the rails without the cover and its related parts. Thanks for you taking the time to look at this. If anything, it's an opportunity for me to blow some steam off!
  2. These pictures may not do it justice, but here’s what I took on my lunch break. The holes are in the sides of the Bed rails. It went through the sides of the plastic rail caps and through the side of the bed rail. 3 to 4 holes were drilled into each bed rail and are fortunately covered by the rails of the new tonneau cover.
  3. I took my 2019 GMC Sierra AT4 to my local shop to have an Undercover Ultra Flex Tonneau Cover installed. Now that I know how easy the installation is, I should have done it myself but that is not the issue. When they installed the first cover, they absolutely did it incorrectly. Instead of using all of the clamps that come with the cover, they installed the rails for the tonneau cover to the rails of the truck by drilling rivets into my truck rails! The cover was not aligned correctly so I took it back the next day, showed them how it was installed incorrectly, and they ordered a new one and the best I can tell it has been installed correctly. There is minor amounts of water that have gotten into the truck bed, but it is primarily at the tailgate which appears to be common. Regarding these holes that have been drilled into the plastic caps on the truck rails and into the actual truck rail itself, how pissed off should I be? While you cannot see these holes, the fact that I know they are there is really bothering me (my OCD doesn't help). I'm worried this could hurt the resale value of my truck and I'm worried that those holes could eventually rust. While I did express some concern when I took the truck back and made a comment about the holes they drilled, the response I got was "nobody will ever see 'em." I've always trusted this place because they've taken care of me and my family, but this is such a colossal screw up. I can't believe they didn't call before deciding to drill into the truck, especially when it is not necessary to install this cover!
