  1. I need to do something, most uncomfortable stock seat I've ever had in a truck, like sitting on a bleacher bench seat. Been looking at Coverland, not sure if anyone used that company? Later-
  2. Hey all, traded in my 18 Chevy 1500 ltz leather seats for a used 2024 gmc 2500hd doublecab sle this week. Really miss the topper, power folding mirrors, and Seats are very firm, little hard for my liking. Getting around 16 mpg highway at 73 mpr, city 12 mpg, with overall 300 miles at 13.8 mpg. Love the truck, with updated dash, but would like a softer seat that works with the winter heated seats, Any Ideas? Later-
  3. Thank You everyone, I took your comments with great respect, and I too like the crewcab. But in the end I choose the 2024 gmc doublecab sle for the upgraded improvements and style. I already miss not having the LTZ Package with power folding mirrors and comfortable leather seats on my 2018 1500 (these 2500 seats are terrible hard, Not comfortable). Seems to be enough room for grandchildren, we will see. Later-
  4. Hey, looking at two trucks, a 2021 gmc 2500hd crew cab sle 65k miles, and a 2024 gmc 2500hd double cab sle 75k miles. Both about the same price. I'm not sure if I would be disappointed in the Double Cab after having my 2018 1500 crew cab. We have 1 teenage Grandchild, and occasionally a few Grandchildren, so not sure if that makes a difference. Appreciate your thoughts, Later-
  5. Thank You newdude, agree the old Allison 1000 was Great and Reliable. Lots of friends that have it really like it. Seen quite a few complaing on YouTube about the new 10 speed, but hoping gm figured out the problems. Really like some of the improvements on 2020+, time will tell if the 10 speed as good as 6 speed. Later-
  6. Hey all, for some time been looking at 3500hd crewcab diesel, maybe dually. Just trying to find the right deal with trade. I would like to go 2020+ with all the improvements. But, with the Transmission issues I'm hearing about in the 2020+, just wondering if I would be better off with a 2018 or 2019. What's your thoughts?
  7. The dealer ended up not finding service records. The carfax report said a 1 owner, but they bought it at an auction, so I'm passing on the deal. Thank You for your reply, much appreciated, Later-
  8. They are getting it, great idea, Thank You
  9. Hey All, been looking at 2020-2022 3500hd cc diesel 4x4, found one in my price range but has around 140,000 miles. Is that too many miles, would you Buy or Pass? Later-
  10. Thank You Pryme, that must be why the 19's are considerably cheaper.
  11. Hey all, been looking at fifth wheels with gvrw 17k and 20k, and a 3500hd. So, a 2020 3500hd crewcab diesel 8' bed 4x4 has 6000lbs more towing on a single axle, and 11,000 more on a dually over a 2019. Sorta like the looks of 2019 over 2020, but would have to buy a 2019 duallyto do the same Towing of single axle 2020. If True, I would be crazy not to buy a 2020. Are these Real Towing Numbers? Can someone explain how GM came up with such a huge difference??? Later-
  12. Thank You newdude and sstoner, the 10 speed sounds like better mpg, but the 6 speed from many say it is very reliable. I guess the right deal would be my decision. Later-
  13. Thank You both for your comments, was thinking the 6 speed would work, but if a 10 speed was a huge difference I would be better off.
  14. Hey all, been looking at 18, 19, and 20+ 2500hd Diesel Crew Cabs. 5k-10k price difference between 18 to 20. Wondering, those that have had both if there is that much Difference between the 18 & 19 with 6 speed transmission vs 20+ with 10 speed transmission? Thank You-
  15. I will have to wait until the wife and I each hit the Lottery for a New Truck, Stupid Ridiculas Pricing!!!
  16. Hey all, seen the New 6.2L has max tow of 13,100lbs for a half ton. Did GM put a 3/4 ton frame in half tons to get this towing capacity? What is the new crewcab payloads? My 18 Chevy ltz crewcab with 6.2l, 8 speed, 3.73 gears has max towing of 11,800 and 1850lb payload in comparison. Later-
  17. I hear you, they are a PITA. Have this problem with a few other sites, I usually get pissed enough and close the site. When winter gets here I am going thru my sites I enjoy, but the ones with All these Pop Ups Deleting the Site APP!
  18. Have 112k on 2018 Chevy with 6.2L, but Replaced Transmission at 94k.
  19. Just replaced OE rotors and pads, and seen the shock leak. So yes, lots of miles for standard equipment.
  20. Hey all, time for new shocks. Rear shocks are bouncy and leaking. With 111,111 figured I would replace front and rear shocks. Any Recommendations for Shocks?
  21. 110k on my 2018, 8 speed.
  22. Just had this conversation with a bud that has a 16 2500hd Denali diesel loaded compaired to my 18 chevy 1500 ltz. Both trucks have Low Quality Back Up Camera's compaired to my wife's 19 Jeep Cherokee and son's Ford F-150. Other than Increased Profits, I am not sure why GM has choosen such below average cameras.
  23. Maybe 1 to 2 mpg better, but to me not worth the extra cost per gallon of gas. But it seemed like the truck ran good with higher octane.
  24. Hey rav3, I use 87 octane most the time. When towing I use 92 octane.
