  1. I've decided to pass on that 3500hd with No service records or No receipts of anything done, just seemed like a quick sale before something big mechanically happens. Thank You all for your comments, Later-
  2. Thank You newdude and davester, my biggest hesitation is with that many miles something is bound to break, and could be very expensive. Good to hear real thoughts from experience, Later-
  3. Hey, looking at a 2018 3500 dually 6.6l with 300,000 miles, pictures look good, but is it too many miles?
  4. Thank You GAMark and AndrewF, great video and really like the PID Display.
  5. I hear your Pryme, 17 mpg+ is great compared to my 2000 2500 6.0l getting 12 mpg at best, Later-
  6. Hey Chuck, Happy Easter, the truck was started up for about a minute while I put on boots and jacket. I set the cruise between 58 to 60 depending on traffic, had a few stop lights, and it was about 50 degrees. Even though it was a short ride of 52 miles one way, it surprised me it did 20 mpg, Later-
  7. Hey Bruce, was nice to see what this engine/trans can do under optimal conditions. Just was shocked by the mpg and had to take a picture. Later-
  8. Hey, did a 52 mile drive each way with a few hills, but mostly straight roads, then looked at a 20 MPG Surprise. On the way back home with several stop and go still had 16.2 mpg, not bad for the 6.6l gas with 10 speed. Later-
  9. Yes, you are correct, but when I upload picture it turns upside down, but gooseneck is 18,200
  10. Hey new dude, mine is different than yours, not sure why
  11. Thank You rjgvt, I don't have the 5th wheel option on my truck, unfortunately. Jettech1, wow, Thank You for the great explanation of towing TT and 5th wheels payload, much appreciated.
  12. Thank You UWSkier, I was towing this TT with a 1500, max tow, until afm started, and went up 2500hd. Big difference in towing especially with wind, but not sure on mountains yet. Thank You No F-bdy Bs, lol no money pile here, just planning the future. Never had a diesel, but lots of friends that do, they love them for towing their fifthwheels. But, our current routine of small daily miles with Grandchildren is probably not ideal for the diesel engine.
  13. Common Sense tells me something is Wrong. GM will put Bulletins and point fingers, just like the Denial of afm Distroying my engine on a 2018 6.2l. I'm old school, the Only Time you should need to add Oil is if your way over Oil changes or way over working an engine but pulling a 7500 pound trailer is not it. I know it says at 7500 miles oil change, but heck it could say 10,000 miles if GM wanted to convince people, but I change around 5000 miles even though it has become very expensive. Really like this 6.6l gas, but if people are using oil, especially 2 quarts, GM has a problem and they need to figure it out before it becomes another recall. Just my 2 cents, Later-
  14. Hey Byrds8, yes my payload is there but not fifthwheel, just didn't want to push it to the max of what it really can do, not GM numbers. Hey Buck, my payload is 3534, so I should be fine there, we'll at least until my wife starts packing. No doubt a Diesel would be much better, but 90%+ of my driving is Grandchildren to school and 10 mile trips to town. Thank You both for your suggestions, Later-
  15. Thank You Dale, very good news that this 6.6l gas will be enough. Yes, you are correct, I have the 10 speed. Will look up Martin Campground, like new places and new friends. Looking forward for the future, Later-
  16. Hey all, have a 2024 gmc 2500hd doublecab with 6.6l Gas 4x4 and currently towing a 9000 pound, 35' Rockwood TT with No Problems. We are looking at a 37' Grand Design fifthwheel with 11,000 pounds dry weight, and 14,000 pounds gvwr. Mainly Camping in Northern Michigan, but wondering if the 2500hd 6.6l gas is enough if I take trips to Alabama? Thank You, Later
  17. Not newer GM seats, my 2024 gmc 2500hd seats are Horrible! The 2000 2500hd seats, 2003 1500 seats and 2004 1500 seats where 10x more comfortable than newer GM seats. People need to be Fired for charging Loyal GM Buyers this much Money for trucks with seats worse than a Chevette, just Terrible!!!
  18. Running good so far on 2024 2500hd with 81,000 miles
  19. I have a 2024 gmc 2500hd SLE and these Seats are the Worst seats I've ever had in all my trucks. Cheap Azz GM too worried about how much profit! My 2000-2005 seats were 10× better. $60,000+ trucks with Chevette seats!!!
  20. My 2 cents, last June traded a 2018 Chevy 1500 ltz crewcab 6.2l max towing pkg, 1840 payload, for a 2024 gmc 2500hd doublecab 6.6l gas, 3550 payload towing our 35' Rock TT 8800# gvwr. Though the Chevy had lots of engine power for towing there is a Noticeable difference between the 1500 vs 2500hd, especially if windy. Loved the ride of the 1500, but in no way would I trade the 2500hd/3500hd for towing a camper. Good Luck in your choice, Later-
  21. Really like the 1500 gas milage and ride. I'm not a fan of 0w oil, and always wondered how much the 0w had to do with bent lifters in the 1500 with dfm issues. I think GM did very good with the 6.6l gas and 10 speed combo.
  22. Yes, alot of money, I am not sure on the Y pipe, it was not mentioned. Heard of people complaining about the 10 speeds on the 2500hd 6.6l gas, but so far mine has been good. However, the 8 speed on my 2018 Chevrolet 1500 transmission went out at 94,000, and afm engine problems at 134,000, so I traded it for the 2500hd. Overall, happy with the GMC 2500HD, Later-
  23. Hey Chuck, oil changed 5000-6000 miles, with fluids checked regular, trans changed once by dealer so not sure on clearance of pan to exhaust, but everything looked good. Been running smooth so far. Put on 300 miles today, averaged 16.2 mpg going south, 15.7 mpg going north back to home, Later-
  24. 2024 gmc 2500hd doublecab 6.6l gas, 81,000 miles, running great
