USB power and cigarette lighter power issue

Sierra 2017 sle Hi everyone. Was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction or shed some light on this situation. my phone will connect to Apple play through my phone. But will only charge for a second or so and then it won’t charge. Will still remain connected to Apple play it does the same in the cigarette lighter port too. I have no idea and this is my first truck!! thanks everyone
