  1. I just got the Range AFM disabler for my 1500 LTZ. Haven't tried it out yet but I'm sure I will be happy always being in 8Cyl mode! Glad it worked for your application. I feel the only reason why these vehicles come with the AFM etc. is due to the ever increasing requirements for fuel efficiency by the EPA.
  2. Found this to reboot your MyLink: Hopefully this will work? Mylink/Intellilink (2014-2016) • Press the Home and Fast Forward buttons for at least 10 seconds
  3. The same happens to my 2014 Silverado. Recently purchased, so I'm trying to figure out the glitches, and little things that need attention. Going to try the language reset process and see if that work. ?? We will see.
  4. Thanks for the diagram. I did some testing this past weekend and wired the headlight assembly up correctly but my issue now is that when the truck is off, the headlight works as it should. I get low, high beam, blinker, parking etc. but when I start the truck, the headlight flickers then turns off. I've seen that other vehicles have this same issue when upgrading to HID systems. Mine has a D5S bulb/connection and some folks say a relay harness is needed and I'm currently talking with Gen5DIY who will be making me a custom harness for this issue. I'll report back on the results in case anyone else has this issue with upgrading to HID lights. If I had a 2016, im sure it would be more plug and play, but who knows. The clock is ticking now (7 days) before I have to get the truck inspected. Thanks for all of the helpful info so far!
  5. Awesome! Thank you for that. I also need the wiring diagram for the 2016 Silverado. I understand that the 2016 has one headlight housing vs two for the 2014. I need to see how I can wire the 2016 headlight assembly for both Low and high beam from only one headlight housing. Not sure if its possible with HID bulbs. I may need to get new headlight assembly's. Hopefully not as they can get pretty pricey per pair. Thanks again!
  6. Its on my radar along with Gen5DIY. Gen5DIY states that the harness is for stock headlamps. I believe the upgraded headlights are from Anzo for a 2016 Silverado. plugs are totally different and I'm guessing whoever wired it up didn't take the time to get the wiring diagram or install them the right way. I'm hoping to get a shop manual sometime very soon to take a look at the harness that goes from the trucks harness to the headlamp and see if there is an issue with how the wiring was done. I'm still going to need some sort of diode in place to stop the hyper flashing, but that's the least of the issue at the moment.
  7. My recently purchased 2014 Silverado 1500 LT with the LTZ package and 2016 front clip/lights.
  8. Hi everyone, Admins: Please move if not in the right forum. This is in regards to a headlight modification, but I need some troubleshooting on some issues. Thanks! Name is Tony, I live in MA. I just purchased a 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT with the LTZ package (tech package etc.) The previous owner upgraded the headlights and installed 2016 single beam HID lights and I realized that the lights only work in High Beam mode. I get the hyper flash on the blinkers as well, and the fog lights don't work because the low beams don't work at all. I did contact the seller and ask about the lights, but he really didn't have a clue. I am very much mechanically inclined, and have been searching for the 2014 - 2016 headlight wiring harness diagram without much success so that I can get these things wired correctly before I go and get it inspected. This truck is my upgrade from a 2001 Chevy Tahoe that I will continue to keep on the road. That 5.3L wont quit, even at almost 240K miles. I attached a couple of photos that I believe are the lights that were installed and an actual photo of the headlights. I just want the lights to work as they should. I did come across a site that sells harnesses for these types of upgrades, but they are a bit pricey, and after shelling out a good amount for this truck, I'm trying to keep as much money in my pocket as I can at the moment. Thanks in advanced for the help!
