Thanks everyone! I bought the truck used with ~45k miles on it and from what I can tell by service records, only basic maintenance was done. (Oil changes, brakes, wipers, etc.) I will plan to knock out that list - I plan to do it all myself. I don't think any of it is too bad, is it? I have done diffs on my older truck (04 Silverado 1500) but never done the trans fluid/filter.

My truck is currently at just over 95,000 miles and I am gearing up to do a tune up. My question is, what is recommended? Here is what I had in mind. Is all of this needed or is some of it "optional" as opposed to recommended. Inspect brakes (should be good - I did them about 10,000 miles ago) Drain and replace both differentials fluids Spark plugs (do I do the wires as well?) Transfer case fluid Inspect power steering fluid Inspect brake fluid Transmission fluid and filter Drain and replace coolant Inspect air filter Oil change was just done about 2000 miles ago Inspect tie rods (did inner and outer in the last 20k miles or so) So again, is all of that recommended, or is there some stuff that I can gloss over? I am open to all answers. Truck is a 2014, 5.3 4x4. Alright so, let's preface this with I know I know I know "3 inches is REALLY stretching the suspension". I have a 3 inch front, 2 inch rear leveling kit. A few months (4-6) after installing it, I started to notice a light creaking noise. This noise only happens when turning the wheel while parked or moving very slowly. If I am driving or turning at a stop light or something, zero noise. There is no wheel shake, vibration, drone, wobble, etc. Nothing. Everything is tight. What I have done since adding the leveling kit (not all of this was to fix the creak either, a lot just routine stuff while I was in there) RC UCA's Tie rod ends Sway bar end links Inner tie rods - just did these tonight and still have the creaking I bought a diff drop kit a while back but haven't installed it yet. Any other ideas as to what this creaking could be or where it is coming from? This issue is more annoying than anything at this point. Edit to add: I noticed today the creak is probably 90% gone, but I still just barely notice it here and there.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a tuner if all I really want to do with it is disable AFM and maybe apply a very mild tune? I currently use the Range AFM Disabler in the OBD port but I would like to not have something plugged in all the time if I could. Was just wondering what the recommendation was for something like this since I don't plan to do anything crazy with the truck. Bone stock except for a high flow air filter, removed 3rd cat and resonator and installed a Borla exhaust.

I was considering installing some aftermarket, OE style fender flares on my 2014 silverado 1500 but before purchasing wanted to make sure I wasn't asking for trouble in doing this in terms of rust. I live in southern Michigan so we definitely get our fair share of snow and therefore salt. Truck currently has 75k miles and is rust free, no bubbling or anything. 2014 Silverado 1500. 3 inch front leveling kit with 2 inch rear blocks. Rough Country UCA's, new ACDelco tie rod ends and sway bar end links. Installing 1 inch diff drop in a few days.

Ah, much appreciated! I will definitely give that a shot next time this happens. While on this subject, do these systems need to be updated periodically? Like, can the dealer apply a firmware update if there is one? Wasn't sure if that was something I should keep up on. I work in IT so to me, updates come along every once in a while and usually don't hurt. Usually. ;)

Howdy all. I have a 2014 Silverado 1500 with the bigger Chevy My Link display. I have had this truck for almost 2 years now and never had an issue with anything electronic wise in that time. 4-6 weeks ago I remote started my truck, got in, turned the key and the radio display was black. I could still press where preset channels were and it would change the station, but the screen was completely black. I got home and disconnected the battery cable for 15 minutes and reconnected it and all was fine. Fast forward to today. I started my truck (with key, not remote) and same issue. I shut the truck off and opened the door, shut the door, started the truck, same thing. Did this 4 or 5 times and then got what you see below. Again, got home, disconnected battery cable for 10-15 minutes, problem fixed. Backup camera also works just fine when this issue happens. I did install a Range AFM delete probably 2 months or more ago but the problem didn't present itself until a month after that was installed and now again today. Not sure if they are related? Ideas on what could be the issue? Is it nothing to worry about it and I just fix it as it happens? (battery cable disconnect fix)

The rule I have always heard is that 2 inches and less, your angles should be just fine. Once you hit the 2.5 inch point, or especially 3 inch and upwards, you get into bad angle territory. If you are really concerned after putting the leveling kit on, snap a picture after the truck is lowered to the ground and post the pic here. In the end, 2 inches should be fine though especially if this truck will be a pavement princess. (like mine )
